remove most callers of write_one_page v3
Hi all, this series removes most users of the write_one_page API. These helpers internally call ->writepage which we are gradually removing from the kernel. Changes since v2: - more minix error handling fixes Changes since v1: - drop the btrfs changes (queue up in the btrfs tree) - drop the finaly move to jfs (can't be done without the btrfs patches) - fix the existing minix code to

[PATCH 0/6] drm: Provide a simple encoder
Many DRM drivers implement an encoder with an empty implementation. This patchset adds drm_simple_encoder_init() and drm_simple_encoder_create(), which can be used by drivers instead. Except for the destroy callback, the simple encoder's implementation is empty. The patchset also converts 4 encoder instances to use the simple-encoder helpers. But there are at least 11 other drivers which can

[PATCH v4 RFC 0/3] virtio: add 'device_lost' to virtio_device
Hi, here is my v4 patch-set update to the v3 RFC submitted on Nov 27th. When an active virtio block device is hot-unplugged from a KVM guest, affected guest user applications are not aware of any errors that occur due to the lost device. This patch-set adds code to avoid further request queueing when a lost block device is detected, resulting in appropriate error info. Additionally a potential

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs updates for 2.6.27
I'm running a bit late with the e-mail this time around, but I think that's ok since there really isn't any major new features here - the bulk of the Ocfs2 update is bug fixes, or cleanups. The same goes for configfs. The only two things that could be described as features would be: - Sunil has updated Ocfs2 to provide even more live cluster locking information via debugfs. - Joel

[PATCH v3 0/6] mm/hmm/nouveau: add THP migration to migrate_vma_*

The patches apply cleanly to the linux-mm 5.10.0-rc2 tree. There are a lot of other THP patches being posted. I don't think there are any semantic conflicts but there may be some merge conflicts depending on

This version now supports splitting a THP midway in the migration process which led to a number of changes. The patches apply cleanly to the current linux-mm tree.
