Can I use "mcnemar.test" for 3*3 tables (or is there a bug in the command?)
...tt
McNemar's chi-squared = 7.6667, df = 3, p-value = *0.05343*
Now I was wondering if the test I just performed is the correct one.
>From looking at the Wikipedia article on mcnemar (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McNemar's_test), it is said that:
"The Stuart-Maxwell

is
different generalization of the McNemar test, used for testing marginal
homogeneity in a square table with more than two rows/columns"

Calling Other (non-C or Fortran) Programs from R
Hi!
I wonder if anyone has experiences of calling other programs
from R (i.e., not C or Fortran programs).
Specifically I want to call LEM from R and execute it in a
loop to process its output in R. Thanks,

relationship between two discrete variables
I want to investigate possible relationships between two discrete variables. I have tried a few things but figured you guys might be able to point me at some purpose built functions.
Our scientists score results of tests which are performed in lets say, 8 positions. The scores are assigned a value of 1,2,3 or 4. I want to know if there is a correlation between the test results and the

Samba performance
Hi all.
I know this has probably been asked before, but I need a quick answer, and
didn't find anything on the net.
Has anyone done any benchmark comparisons of server speed from Win95
clients, accessing files on a Samba 1.9.17p1 server share, as compared to
an NT Server, running on the same server hardware? If so, how did Samba
1.9.17 measure up to the NT server?
I need an answer to this,
