XML Revisited
...hones supported XML pushed information to which they replied that only model 600 had a microbrwoser capable of reading dhtml files and such. My question to the community is: is somebody doing any XML info push to any brand of phones except Cisco? How are you doing it? One of the wonders of VoIP should be the means to send information back to the phone which ould be displayed on those wonderful screens that they have :) besides showing callerid and time which normal phones do.. Any ideas/comments? Anton Krall

validates_format_of :something, :with => /REGEX/
...ping to stir the Rails pot a little bit here, so please go easy with me ;-) Regular Expressions is the most densely inhumane language construct ever invented in any ''civilisation'', and the fact that we still have to dirty our minds with this in Rails is something that (sh/c)ould ideally be corrected in Rails (preferably before the release of 1.2 (?)) or in the form of a plugin. A very common scenario in Rails models are: validates_format_of :name, :with => [ only characters that are commonly found in Names, ie: NOT {^%$([]\/><?;* ) ] validates_f...

how to make user iteration work (with active directory ldap)
We received no replies to this email that we sent a few days ago. We're not sure why. If we miss something that is obvious to everybody, kindly point it out. We ?ould like to get iteration working, to be able to mass-delete specific emails from all mailboxes, in case of for example received virusses... Here is my question again: Hi, User iteration doesn't work, we're getting: > auth: Error: Trying to iterate users, but userdbs don't support i...

Fwd: help - how to use python bindings for smbtorture test suits
...ruggling in using python bindings for smbtorture test suits. In case I want to run smbtorture python bindings from a client m/c to a Samba standalone server (or Samba as member to an AD domain), what are the steps to follow, as I don't see any clear documentation on the same. Below are what I could do so far: samba-4.4.4/selftest/wscript: Main code for selftest samba-4.4.4/selftest/target/--.pm : Files for testenv creation samba-4.4.4/selftest/st: Test environment gets created under this dir Steps followed to execute tests: 1../configure --enable-selftest --testenv 2.make -j testenv S...

...d not encrypted. Or, not constantly changing > (with their encryption). Not so. For small file there is no advantage as any change may change the whole file. Its for large files where only a few blocks change that the delta algorithms saves transfer time. And that's exactly where eCryptfs ould help. You don't like file level encryption but that is exactly what you have been asking about. You cant move out of Windows but still want a scalable, stable solution. Its all a contradiction of terms.. Multiple servers, restricting user commands and LDAP
I have a set-up of 3 servers at disparate geographical locations. Server 1 provides web services, and users should be able to use sftp only. Admins should be able to get shells. Server 2 provides CVS services, and users sh ould be able to use cvs only. Admins should be able to get shells. Server 3 provides shell services for all users. There appears to be no easy way of implementing this within the current Ope...

I can see all my processor running at full performance when I use a smaller dataset require(snow) require(doSNOW) require(foreach) #change the 8 to however many cores\phys processors you have on your machine cl.tmp = makeCluster(rep("localhost",4),

...s (server2 == NETAPP under warranty). I had also already explained on 21 May 2015 22:41:17 CEST why option 2.) was an even _less_ viable solution due to the security permissions of the underlying NTFS system on server 2 then _not_ being user specific and therefore dangerous. I can understand and would accept that the 'msdfs proxy' mechanism might be executing at a time well ahead of the connect block in the code and therefore precluding any 'preexec' possibilities. But it is exact that question that hasn't been answered - is this by design or a mistake? If it by design, the...
