Inconsistent Connection
Hi!
I am just curious if someone has experience this before. I have a Linux acting
as a samba server and then have Windows 2000 and Windows XP workstations. When
users log in, everyone can see other computers. However, when they try to
connect to other machines, sometimes they may connect in, sometimes they will
get error message "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x%1

Network so slow
Hello,
i replaced a windows-file-server with a linux-server and samba.
All clients run under Windows xp in an 100 mbit network.
With the windows solution i got no problems with the speed.
With my linux-samba-solution we detect a very slow network.
Per example i open a windows.xls or windows.doc file and this runs 30 seconds and more. Othertime i can open the documents in 5-10 seconds.

IAX Voice Quality Issues
...am running * 1.0.5 and have been having lots of problems with
outgoing calls and their sound quality. I am using ULAW for the codec
and sixtel for termination. Basically the problem is that portions of
the call seem to be lost and replaced with silence. Sometimes I can't
hear the person talking othertimes they can't hear me. This situation
comes and goes throughout the call. Bandwidth isn't an issue as I have
a 3MB/1MB connection and there is at most 2 concurrent connections.
Also using pingplotter to monitor iax2.sixtel.net shows little or no
packetloss.
Just as further info, I am using a...

Unstable printing w/3.2.0
...CL and
Postscript drivers.
3.) After working perfectly for awhile a specific queue will stop
working and users will get an "Access Denied" messgaes while other
queues using the same driver will work perfectly. Then switching the
driver on the server around will sometimes make it work. Othertimes the
driver needs to be deleted, re-added, and reassigned to the printer to
make the "Access Denied" message disappear.
Does 3.2.0 make any changes to the TDB format? If not, is it possible
to drop backwards to a stable version?
Printing via LPD or IPP directly to CUPS works flawlessly...

Problem with ruby 1.8.4 One-Click Ruby Installer on windows
Hi!
Previously i had ruby 1.8.2 (One-Click Ruby Installer) installed, but
the rdoc and plugindoc didn''t work, so i decided to install ruby 1.8.4.
I had uninstalled ruby 1.8.2 (uninstaller deleted the whole ruby folder
with radrails and everything, just great) and installed One-Click Ruby
Installer 1.8.4-16 preview3.
Then installed rails, rmagick, radrails, created docs for trunk

I am using Samba 2.0.6 on Solaris 2.6. Previously I was using 1.9.16p2
on SunOS 4.1.4. This suddenly started failing in a rather strange way,
after applying y2k patches to the OS. Sometimes lookups would work OK,
othertimes I would get back an IP of 0.0.1.16 or some such. Not sure
why that is either. I wanted to move away from SunOS anyway, so I'm
not to worried about that problem.
Thanks,
Andy

smbclient
I am receiving this error randomly when using smbclient to access pc
shares :
FINDFIRST gave ERRSRV - (Non-specific error code.)
I use smbclient with Amanda to backup pc shares. For amanda to work, it
uses smbclient to recursively scan through the entire directory tree and
get total MB size of each directory. The problem is that when trying to
enter some directories it gives the above error and

[RFC] Adopt Dexter and use it to run debuginfo-tests
Hi llvm-dev@,
This is a proposal for LLVM to adopt Sony's Dexter tool [0], import it into the
debuginfo-tests repo, and use it to run integration tests between debuggers
and clang/llvms debuginfo. (Sony has approved donating Dexter to LLVM).
Background
----------
The debuginfo-tests repo contains an integration test suite for debug data,
which builds each test case from its source code

Content Rotate, unwanted flashing on IE.
I just wrote a stupid little JS object to rotate DOM Elements (mainly
images) using Prototype and Script.aculo.us as support. Everything seems
to work well on IE and Firefox Linux but on FireFox Windows I am getting
a slight flash prior to transition.
I was wondering if a effects guru could take a quick look and see if
anything jumps out. I can live with the flash for my current project but

ATI/AMDs atikmpag.sys BSOD while vga passthrough
Hi everyone
since I''m currently migrating from xm to xl and now are also a victim
of the said error, I started researching on it and found that many
people had the issue but not many found solution and behind this BSOD
(=Bluescreen of Death), there are actually multiple errors in hiding.
What I would like to do is gather as much info as possible in this
thread to form a kind of
