winbindd losing track of RFC2307 UIDs
Hi all, I've been experiencing an intermittent problem where some UIDs on a member server spontaneously change from being their AD-derived values to being allocated from the default idmap space, even when there is no change to the AD user information. Specifically, I have a member server running Samba 4.4.5 on CentOS 6.8. AD service is provided by two Samba 4.4.5 servers. The member

Evaluating expresssions as parameter values
I need to play games with an expression similar to the following one: print(xyplot(DepVar ~ Group|Covar, groups=Othergroup, data=mydf, pch = 18 ,main="Testcase",auto.key = TRUE)) The problem is that the formula argument (the first argument) an the groups argument are passed over from another program as strings. The formula argument does not pose problems, I can do

Can't write to a Samba shared directory from windows XP
Hi, I have setup a linux shared directory using Samba. From windows XP, I can see the shared directory, browse it, read files from it; however, I can't write to it. I have changed the ownership of the shared directory in linux to "nobody", changed the group to "nobody", and chmod it 777. I have looked at threads for similar problems, but I can't get my problem

Samba4 and idmap_ad
Hello everyone, I have a - maybe only cosmetical - problem. I am currently configuring two SLES servers running Samba4 as member servers in a Windows2008/2012-AD. (Yeah, poor us!) Everything went fine: installing the samba packages, getting Kerberos running, and joining the AD. But when I use id or wbinfo now to get user information I get lots of groups which cannot be mapped a GID and thus are

How to test WINS functionality
When the world was young, Ariel_Orellana@penoles.com.mx carved some runes like this: [snip] > Secondly, I'm not exactly sure my host, which has "wins support = yes" > option, with no other WINS server in the network, is working. Winbind problem when exec freeradius
Hil list! I'm trying to authenticate Active Directory Users via freeradius. I can do it in a general case (user and domain) without problem. Now I have to do it restricting the authentication to the members of a group. I can exect the script (as is put in radiusd.conf) correct from the command line: Deb:~# /usr/bin/ntlm_auth --username=javi2 --require-membership-of='AAMM\MyGroup'
