This is obviously an issue, as a common use for helpers is to refactoring something like this: <%= link_to "text that changes slightly", :id => id %> to this <%= article_link "text", id, other_options %> using a helper. So right now you can't (easily) have different options for different mounts, or between smbmount and a smbd running from the same samba install. But something like this should be added soon: mount -t smbfs -o conf=/etc/samba/smbmount.conf,other_options,... Unless you need to have different options simply change smb.conf.
