Ices0 and ShoutCast (and KiSS)
THAT was it!
Both ones work, so I think I'll stick to the last one.
Now the KiSS will connect to the IceCast2, and I have enabled the metadata
again without problem.
Thank you very much!

Ices0 and ShoutCast (and KiSS)
I have successfully set up a system with Ices0.4 and IceCast2.20 (and
Tunez). It plays well using mpg123 or WinAmp.
But I would like to use also my KiSS DVD player for the stream, and I have
not been able to do so - It appearently needs 110% SHOUTcast
compatibility.
So I tried the IceCast2.3.1 - but it still didn't like the KiSS (or the
other way around). In stead, I have added a SHOUTcast

LSUB and namespaces - how to get rid of multible prefixes
I'm using dovecot 1.0.rc7 and Squirrelmain 1.4.8 using IMAP on a Debian
3.1 Testing system, and I'm having a problem.
When Squirrelmail (or other IMAP clients) submits an LSUB "" "*%",
dovecot responds with:
Request:
A004 LSUB "" "*%"
Response:
* LSUB () "/" "INBOX.Sent"
* LSUB () "/" "INBOX.Trash"

Hi!
You can try to do this
KisS->ShoutCast->Icecast2
winamp->Icecast2(same)
What do you think about this ?

smbpasswd file generation
Hello,
I've read and read and read and I still can't figure this one out.
Is it possible to get samba to generate the smbpasswd file from an existing
NT PDC or must it be generated from the local passwd/shadow files?
What I need is a file with all the password hashes of the users on the NT
network so that I can use it to CHAP authentication.
Thanks,
AJ

Multicast only working in promiscuous mode
Hi,
I am trying to set up a uPnP server on a Linux box (Debian Sarge Stable kernel 2.6.8). uPnP
works using multicast packages for locating servers.
This does however seem to fail unless I set the relevant NIC in promiscuous mode. If I do so,
it works well.
I have added
ip route add 224.0.0.0/4 dev eth0
and
echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
and the kernel is set up to enable
