2.0beta5 for SCO-compilation error
I have been building 2.0beta5 on a SCO OS5 box using ggg 2.7.1 and get the following error (every time rpc_msg.h is included). Compiling smbd/connection.c In file included from /usr/include/rpc/rpc.h:42, from include/includes.h:317, from smbd/connection.c:22: /usr/include/rpc/rpc_msg.h:54: parse error bef...

Case changes when overwriting existing files
Hi, I'm using precompiled (for SCO OS5) 2.0.3. When my Win95 clients save a file to a share that already has a file of the same name samba upcases it. To be completely accurate the files in question have numbers as thier first 8 chars then an extension of .mtr. So, 19991115.mtr on Win95, when copied, becomes 19991115.MTR on the share if...

SAMBA digest 2391 / Samba 2.0.6 on SCO Unix 5.0.5
...mba release you are using, without any problems, on >>SCO? >> >>Thanks a bunch >> >>Denis Caron >>Smith Travel Research >>denis@wwstar.com >>denis@str-online.com Hi, I am also running the Samba 2.0.6 (the latest available version) on SCO OS5.05 with some small problems. These have been bypassed and now it runs smoothly. The main thing was to disable oplocks and kernel oplocks. Check if your smb.conf is correct and check if your network is configured correctly. If you doubt that the executables of Samba are not correct, you can...

fractional seconds in POSIXct
Hi, Using the following simple character vector representing a time series with fractional seconds: datetime <- c("20/09/2011 13:00:59.00", "20/09/2011 13:00:59.02", "20/09/2011 13:00:59.04") Conversion to POSIXct runs into problems; the second element is not interpreted correctly: ---<--------------------cut

strptime format = "%H:%M:%OS6"
I read a dataset with times in them, e.g., "09:31:29.18761". I then parse them: > all$X.Time <- strptime(all$X.Time, format = "%H:%M:%OS6"); and get a vector of NAs (how do I check that except for a visual inspection?) then I do > options("digits.secs"=6); > all$X.Time <- strptime(all$X.Time, format = "%H:%M:%OS"); and it, apparently, works:

POSIXct Formating Error (PR#9819)
To Whom It May Concern: The following appears to be a bug in the way POSIXct dates are formated. The example is forced, but occurs naturally when importing Excel type dates (where fractional part is fraction of a day) and small rounding errors result. As shown, looking at the POSIXct class, it looks as if both times are 16:11:03 (truncation) Looking at as.numeric.POSIXct, it looks as if

I guess so do I ;-) Using the new approach I posted to samba-list earlier today, it is not really all that tricky any more. Watch for my reports on the list, you may be able to implement what I've done
