Automatic disk check
You know how if you do an improper shutdown and then boot up, the server
prompts you to run a file system check if you press "Y" within 5 seconds?
Well, this is great but sometimes not practical in remote access situations
when we call our datacenter to say reboot a hang server and they have no
monitor or keyboard hooked up to the system. Is there a way to have the

Software RAID on CentOS 4
All this talk about SATA RAID in the past few days made me wonder... about
possibly using software RAID, or at least trying it on my own workstations
and eventually production servers, after I learn more about it.

CentOS newbie question - updates
Pardon the newbie question, but I thought I'd check with you guys here since
I couldn't find the answer to this one on CentOS web site.
