DLMFS on OracleVM 2.1 (OEL5.0 based)
Hi List, I want to use DLMFS of OCFS2 to avoid multiple start of virtual machines on OracleVM. I want to use a wrapper around xm that spawns a deamon that keeps a file open in /dlm/DOMAIN. Now I played around a bit and followed the procedure in the document http://oss.oracle.com/projects/ocfs2/src/branches/ocfs2-1.2/dlmfs.txt for DLMFS. Theres one problem. The "O_NONBLOCK" optio...

Xen 4.4 Immediate EOL
Hi, I am very sorry to do this on short notice, but obviously Meltdown and Spectre are a lot more than anyone was really expecting to come down the pipeline. Xen 4.4 has been EOL upstream for about a year now and I have personally been reviewing and backporting patches based on the 4.5 versions made available upstream. Given that 4.5 is now also reaching EOL, backporting to 4.4 will become

Xen EOF?
Hi, just found: PSARC/2010/250 EOF of Solaris xVM dom0 approved. So does this mean, Xen is officially dead on Solaris? RHEL6 beta vs. Xen
Has anyone yet figured out what it would take to make Xen run on top of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 beta? We are heavily invested in Xen under RHEL5 (actually a redhat clone) distribution, but already the xen kernel they are shipping with update 4 and 5 is shaky and has bugs which they don''t seem to be in a hurry to fix. Basically I am wondering if Redhat 6 is just going to have

[Hackathon Minutes] Xen 4.4 Planning
This took me a while to post, but given that we are not starting 4.4 just yet, this may be appropriate now. I may have misrepresented some stuff as it has been 4 weeks since I wrote these. Cheers Lars = Purpose of Roadmap = * Set a vision for interesting features * Track items * Help consumers of Xen with their planning = Release Models that work well = There was a brief discussion on two
