[BUGFIX][OCFS2 1/1] inode truncating
...ted. because
the buffer /
/heads are already mapped, it doesn't call ocfs2_get_block. the
ip_mmu_private /
/keeps unchanged since last write./
/5) in cont_prepare_write() it dead loops since bytes(ip_mmu_private) is
not /
/increased in last prepare write./
BUG is described in
s://bug.oraclecorp.com/pls/bug/webbug_print.show?c_rptno=7183894.
solution:
/1) moves the clearing of page cache truncate_inode_pages() from
ocfs2_truncate_file() to/
/ocfs2_set_inode_size() after resizing inode size and i_blocks./
/2) in ocfs2_get_block(), add checks on iblock >= inode->i_blocks. if

Solaris 11 System Reboots Continuously Because of a ZFS-Related Panic (7191375)
I''ve hit this bug on four of my Solaris 11 servers. Looking for anyone else
who has seen it, as well as comments/speculation on cause.
This bug is pretty bad. If you are lucky you can import the pool read-only
and migrate it elsewhere.
I''ve also tried setting zfs:zfs_recover=1,aok=1 with varying results.

[SUGGESSTION 1/1] OCFS2: runtime tunable network idle timeout
backgroud:
there is a network idle timeout regarding which a node is considered dead or network partition occures.
problem:
for some product environment, there is a special time during a day. in this special time, a backup work is happening over private network. at the time that the backup is going on, there is very very high load on network. this can lead to ocfs2 network idle timeout and

[PATCH 1/1] OCFS2: fix for nfs getting stale inode.
Ocfs2 supports exporting.
PROBLEM:
There are 2 problems
(1) Current version of ocfs2_get_dentry() may read from disk
the inode WITHOUT any cross cluster lock. This may lead to load a stale inode.
(2) for deleting an inode, ocfs2_remove_inode() doesn't sync/checkpoint to disk.
This also may lead ocfs2_get_dentry() from other node read out stale inode.
PROBLEM DETAIL:
for problem (1),
