Turning off a temporary message in voicemail
Can a temporary message in Asterisk voicemail be de-activated so that the "regular" unavailable and busy messages are played. I have several users who are stuck with the temporary message.
Thanks

FW: How to share WIN partitions from SAMBA (Dual boot) Srv to WIN clients?
....
So, if I have a WIN client, wishing to browse WIN shares from a LINUX box:
the SMB Server must define the shares in smb.conf (and optionally mount
them), and that is all need be done! In fact, quite simple if the settings
are right.

how to collapse a list of 1 column matrix to a matrix?
Hi,
I encounter a situation where I have a list whose element is a column matrix. Says,
$'1'
[,1]
1
2
3
$'2'
[,1]
4
5
6
Is there fast way to collapse the list into a matrix like a cbind operation in this case? Meaning, the result should be a matrix that looks like:
[,1] [,2]
[1,] 1 4
[2,] 2 5
[3,] 3 6
I can loop through all elements and do

optimumvoice
Hi.
A friend of mine came asking about this VOIP provider.
I haven't heard of them so I thought I might ask the list.
Anyone has any experience using them (http://www.optonline.net/Home,
http://www.optimumvoice.com/index.jhtml)?
Not just with Asterisk, even with their supplied HandyTone and a regular
analog phone.
Thanks

Problem accessing SWAT with Firefox
Hi, not sure if I'm posting in the right place but couldn't find a SWAT forum.
I've just changed my PC but the new one has exactly the same settings (IP, computername, login, password) as the old one, however I am getting an error when I try to access any of my Samba servers from Firefox (2.0.0.3) :-

Lag operator in R does not work
Hi - I'm quite wondering what makes the lag operator does not work for my time series. I have a time series of length about 200000 elements. I would like to have a lag 1 of this time series. I did the following:
logprice = log(price, base=exp(1))
# this is my log price which is a vector of price time series of length 200000
ts_logprice = as.ts(logprice, frequency=1) # convert to time series

Real FFT
...o a complex vector "C" of half the length. Then using various FFT symmetries, they extract the FFT of "R" from the FFT of "C" which is half the length of "R",
There is also an inverse process.
Is there an R function that does this?

Question on R server and TinnR
Hi -
Classic question that I tried to look up online and couldn't find a clear answer. It seems that I can have R to act as a server. But I never know how this works. Would anyone please provide an example or introduction material where I can learn about this? I'm trying to build an environment where computation are distributed/delegated among different servers requested whenever I need.

How to plot vertical line
Hi,I have a result from polr which I fit a univariate variable (of ordinal data) with probit function. What I would like to do is to overlay the plot of my fitted values with the different intercept for each level in my ordinal data. I can do something like:lines(rep(intercept1, 1000), seq(from=0,to=max(fit),by=max(fit)/1000))where my intercept1 is, for example, the intercept that breaks between

Does Asterisk Realtime require the use of CVS HEAD ???
I read on the Wiki that Asterisk Realtime requires CVS HEAD, but I've
also discovered that not everything on the Wiki is 100% accurate (that's
not a knock, but with a program that is changing as fast as Asterisk,
it's impossible for the documentation to keep up).
Is it true that Realitme requires CVS HEAD?
TIA,

High CPU load after upgrading to 1.4
Hi,
Since I upgraded from Asterisk 1.2.18 to 1.4.17 I've been experiencing
high CPU utilization from the chan_sip module. I've notice the more sip
peers I have loaded, the higher the CPU load goes when there are no
active calls. I am currently using a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz with CentOS 4
Kernel 2.6.9-42.0.2.EL. I currently have 1558 sip peers loaded in
Asterisk and the current CPU load is
