DB Record Locking problem...
I have an intermittent problem with a database program and the locking mechanism therein. The program is called OPTO and is an older DOS program that has been upgraded to run on any of the windows platforms. I should mention that the entire program, each and every file, is located on the server. I recently installed a new server running SuSE v8.1 and Samba v2.2.5. I've copied all of the data from the Netwa...

Contact closure UPS?
...it's much more basic than the others. It has only an RS232 port on the back, and I need help finding out what interface it uses. The chips inside are just voltage comparators and doesn't seem to have a proper "serial" data interface, it only has a small board containing a pair of opto couplers going to the DB9 plug. You can see pictures of the output board here (onedrive): http://1drv.ms/1A3ryEp http://1drv.ms/1A3ryEp The only pins used seems to be 2, 4 and 5. ?Is it a RUPS interface? ?What cable pinout do I need to build? Thanks!!! -------------- next part -------------- A...

Recommendation for a Linux based SCADA
Hi list, For a telecom project I need to setup a SCADA solution. I don't have any previous experience in this type of monitoring and automization. I'll be using SNMP data from asterisk servers and endpoints. If anybody has any suggestion which SCADA software can fit in such a VoIP solution, your guidance will be highly appreciated. Thanks, Zeeshan A Zakaria -- www.ilovetovoip.com

...c UPS driver in NUT can then be used. The relays and adjustment pot can be put in a small plastic case and put inside the UPS in the battery compartment. A variation on that would be if your UPS has a low-battery light, that light can also be used with a relay. Or someone can get fancier and use opto-isolators to do this as well. Incidentally, there are many other schemes that can be used to get power state into a PC. Here are some: 1) An attached USB printer can be plugged into NON-UPS power. A script can be run that polls the printer. When the printer goes away the system is shut down....

feature request -- talk to the router, not the UPS
Hello, I want to propose a universal UPS driver that will work with any and all UPSes out there. That driver is called: PING :-) It works like this... the user plugs their router into a power source OTHER than the UPS. Instead of talking to the UPS, NUT pings the router every say, 30 seconds. If the router doesn't respond to the PING, NUT keeps trying for a user-configurable amount of

IVT SCD serial port help
guys, A bit off topic here, but since this issue already has a history here: serial connection to the SCD, the never ending story ... - the intel D945GSEJT mainboard (ICH7) has two serial ports with onboard connectors which require a ribon cable to the external DB9 connectors in the case. I tested 5 cables, but none works. whereas I'm not sure if it is a cable problem. this is what dmesg

[LLVMdev] make DataLayout a mandatory part of Module
The LLVM Module has an optional target triple and target datalayout. Without them, an llvm::DataLayout can't be constructed with meaningful data. The benefit to making them optional is to permit optimization that would work across all possible DataLayouts, then allow us to commit to a particular one at a later point in time, thereby performing more optimization in advance. This feature is not

Wilmer Contreras

SIP channel not diconnecting on hangup
I've got an SPA-841 SIP hardphone connecting to my asterisk server across the internet through a couple of NAT routers. Everything works great (I can initiate calls, receive calls, hear audio both ways, etc.) except for one thing. When I hang up the phone, the connection in asterisk doesn't disconnect. The phone is idle and things everything is fine, but Asterisk still show an open

Everything works fine (incoming calls ring, outgoing calls work, audio in both directions, etc.) except for one thing -- when I hangup the SIP phone, Asterisk never
