rjs issue with Internet Explorer
Hi,
When executing some rjs templates:
page.insert_html :bottom, ''contractors'', :partial => ''contractor''
page.visual_effect :highlight, "contractor#{@contract.contractor.id}",
:duration => 1
Works fine on Firefox, but nothing happens on IE. Is there any
equivalent of Firebug for Internet Explorer? Are there "well-known" tips

Ajax scaffolding respones are received, but not rendered in browser
Hi i installed the latest ajaxscaffolding gem and generated a scaffold.
List works fine. Delete deletes, but the update doesn''t show and the busy
icon spins indefinitely. Pressing new or edit also causes the busy icon to
spin, but again the ui doesn''t update.
my development.log indicates the request was handled and (using firebug) I''m
seeing this response:

Posix warning : Access to ... is crossing device
I have a distributed/replicated setup with Glusterfs 3.0.2, that I'm
testing on 4 servers, each with access to /mnt/gluster (which consists
of all directories /mnt/data01 - data24) on each server. I'm using
configs I built from volgen, but every time I access a file (via an
'ls -l') for the first time, I get all of these messages in my logs on
each server:

Need a dropdown having "more.." option
I have a collection of products that I am showing in a dropdown. Now
at the first view it will show only first 10 products in the dropdown
with an option "more..." at last. if user clicks the "more..." he can
see all the following products in that dropdown list (this is not any
ajax request, just javascript show/hide). Of course the more... option
will hide when showing all

Rails 1.1, Markaby, options_from_collection
Last night, I upgraded one of my rails apps to 1.1. This app uses
Markaby exclusively for its'' views, and once I checked out the latest
revisiong of Markaby (r33), everything was working fine except for one
thing:
select_tag(''province_id'', options_from_collection_for_select(@provinces,
"id", "name"))
Now returns this (as you see it is spitting

problem with AFS token forwarding
Hello,
I came across an interoperability problem in OpenSSH 3.0p1 and 3.0.1p1
concerning the AFS token forwarding. That means that the new versions are
not able to exchange AFS tokens (and Kerberos TGTs) with older OpenSSH
releases (including 2.9p2) and with the old SSH 1.2.2x. In my opinion this
problem already existed in Openssh 2.9.9p1, but I have never used this
version (I only looked at the

5.1-R-p2 crashes on SMP with AMI RAID and Intel 1000/Pro
Dear Sirs.
It seems to me a never ending story. We run a box with a TYAN Thunder
2500 Dual SMP mainboard, 2GB ECC Tyan certified memory, AMI Enterprise
1600 RAID adapter and additional Intel 1000/Pro server type (64 bit)
GBit LAN NIC. With FreeBSD 4.8 this was stable, but to achive this
state was really hard! It is a story similar to that what happend when
we changed towards FreeBSD

Multiple checkboxes
Please could someone suggest what might be wrong here. In my view I''m
displaying a series of check boxes and when the form is submitted I want
the controller to iterate over the values and contatenate them all into
a string "1" if the box was checked and "0" if it wasn''t.
I''m new to Ruby and Rails and I can''t seem to get any values out of

brick is down but gluster volume status says it's fine
gluster version 3.10.6, replica 3 volume, daemon is present but does not
appear to be functioning
peculiar behaviour. If I kill the glusterfs brick daemon and restart
glusterd then the brick becomes available - but one of my other volumes
bricks on the same server goes down in the same way it's like wack-a-mole.
any ideas?

software raid performance
Are there known performance issues with using glusterfs on software raid? I've
been playing with a variety of configs (AFR, AFR with Unify) on a two server
setup. Everything seems to work well, but performance (creating files,
reading files, appending to files) is very slow. Using the same configs on
two non-software raid machines shows significant performance increases.

Gluster "Peer Rejected"
Hello All,
I have 8 servers.?
7 of the 8 say that gbe02 is in state State: Peer Rejected (Connected).
gbe08 says it is connected to the other?7? but they are all State: Peer Rejected
(Connected)
So it would appear that gbe02 is out of sync with the group.
I triggered a manual self heal by doing a the recommended ./find on a gluster
mount.
I'm stuck... I cannot find ANY docs on this

Overriding date_select in local project to use custom value rather than blank for starting option...
I would like to have a date control on a page and I would like a
behavior similar to what you get using date_select with the
:include_blank => true option where the first value in the dropdown is
"- Month -", "- Day -", or "- Year -" rather than a blank value for
the respective month, day, and year select fields.
I took a look at the ruby source for

[PATCH] tools: implement --short-options
Just like --long-options, it makes it possible to know which short
options are supported by each tool; this can help improving the bash
completion, for example.

[common PATCH v4 0/1] options: add '--blocksize' option for C-based tools
From: Nikolay Ivanets <stenavin@gmail.com>
v4 fixes issues found during code review:
- whitespace-change-only hunks are removed
- options are alphabetically orderred now
v3 is just a spelling correction spotted by Eric Blake

In v2 I've moved '--blocksize' parameter description into the separate

[common PATCH v2 0/1] options: add '--blocksize' option for C-based tools
From: Nikolay Ivanets <stenavin@gmail.com>
In v2 I've moved '--blocksize' parameter description into the separate
file called blocksize-option.pod so we can include it everywhere we need
similar to key-option.pod.
v1 was here:
