Voicetronix Openswitch/6
Hello all - I'm trying to get Asterisk working with an Openswitch/6 card
with all ports set to FXO for PSTN in/out, and 10 SIP phones on the LAN
with the Asterisk server.
The SIP phones are working properly to dial one another, but I can't
seem to get a call to go out to the PSTN through the voicetronix, and I
similarly can't get incoming calls to t...

Voicetronix Openswitch driver - draft 2
Attached is the updated driver, thanks to Mark's advice. It now does
pretty good audio, although when you dial another channel via Asterisk
you get some echo. This I have not been able to solve quite yet (using
voicetronix echo cancelling doesn't seem to do it). If anyone can
figure it out, would appreciate.
Thanks
P.
Ps. Unpack inside asterisk code directory. Replaces your makefile

Voicetronix vs Digium FXO
...alog FXO woes was to
look into using a Voicetronix card instead of the Digium. They're more
expensive but if it worked better it may be reasonable. They indicated
they were compatable with the CVS HEAD version of *.
Can someone share with me their experiences with Voicetronix OpenLine
and/or OpenSwitch cards with *? I'm specifically interested in FXO
handling and any issues with echo, inbound DTMF detection, and inbound fax
detection.
Thanks in advance,
Paul
PS: Feel free to reply directly if you'd rather not clutter a Digium list
with Voicetronix traffic.

Voicetronix FXO on OpenCall 4 vs OpenSwich 6
In my search for a better analog FXO interface, I'm looking into the
Voicetronix cards. Can someone let me know if they've been using the
OpenSwitch cards with Asterisk? Also, can anybody comment on the
differences in FXO performance between the OpenCall and OpenSwitch cards?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Regarding Openvswitch suppotrs Xen 4..2.1
Hi,
As I see blogs or websites the openvswitch is support XCP and Xenserver.
But to support opensource Xen 4.2.1 what should be configure and how to
interface with openflow .
I have tried using vif-openswitch network script for bridging, while
adding datapath using ovs-dpctl add-dp xenbr0 it is added but ovs-dpctl
dump-flows xenbr0 it is getting
ovs-dpctl: opening datapath (No such device). Can you suggest any
configuration for openflow with openvswitch.

1) Setting channels 1 and 2 as FXO, channels 3 and 4 as immediate
2) Setting channels 1 and 2 as FXO, channels 3 and 4 as dialtone
3) Setting channels 1-4 as FXO
i may have something mixed up here, has anyone had any success with this?
note that i'm not using the OpenSwitch card, it's the OpenLine.
Thanks,

A bit of a survey: What do do if you need more than 4 C.O. lines
Folks,
In light of all the troubles people report when running more than one
TDM400 card in a system, I wouldn't mind hearing what your solution of
choice would be when having to connect 5 or more analog telco circuits
to an Asterisk.
I'll try and compile the answers together and get them into the Wiki, as
I figure this could be useful knowledge for the community.
TIA,
Jim.

Australian Options
I would just like to get a refresh of the situation for Australian users.
It would seem that the TE400P is currently available and is likely to
acheive approval for use in Australia within the next 2 months ? (when is
the end of summer?).
Once this is done, it will certainly suit larger installations, but it still
leaves a number of 'gaps'.
Anyone with analog phone lines will need

Voicetronix
Has anyone gotten the voicetronix boards to work with Asterisk, what
would it take? Or does anyone know where I can get 4 ports or more fxs
PCI cards that do work with asterisk?

Voicetronix driver for V6PCI/V12PCI - first draft
Good people,
Please find attached a first shot at a driver for the Voicetronix
OpenSwitch hardware. It does work (ish). After paying $900-odd for it
I figured I might try to make it work with Asterisk (could never get
enough documentation on Bayonne!)
I have problems with the audio quality, and since am new to Asterisk,
I could really do with some input. First is that because the...

DID Trunk
I'm working on putting together some Ideas about using Asterisk in our
environment, one of the things I want to consider is DID trunks
(analog), what hardware do I need to terminate these trunks? I'm
looking at the voicetronix openswitch6 or openswitch12.
On the openswitch, I'd like to use some of the lines for analog sets
for the breakroom, kitchen, etc where they don't need all the cool
features, and the other lines for POTS/DID trunks.
Also how mature is this for production environment? I envision using
mostly VOIP ph...

Voicetronix OpenSwitch6 with 10-digit Dialing
Seems strange to me that I should be having this problem but I'm stumped.
I'm still playing with a Voicetronix OpenSwitch6 card and Asterisk
(development CVS). I using a dialplan that's derived from one on another
running installation that's using Digium FXS/FXO interfaces instead of the
OpenSwitch card. It seems that as soon as a user on an FXS interface
dials 7 digits, a call is placed even though the dial...

[Xen-API] XCP Monthly Call Request
I am planning to schedule a monthly XCP meeting for the community and am struggling with when to host the call. As we are a global community, there is no single optimal time to host the meeting. In an effort to support the most likely attendees, please send me your time zone if you plan to participate in these calls. I will track the most common time zones in an effort to maximize attendance. All
