X11UseLocalhost option and the DISPLAY variable
I wasn't paying much attention when there was a lot of conversation about
these issues. I recently ran into a problem where an X app won't run with
OpensSSH 3.1p1's default "X11UseLocalhost yes" setting. If I run the X
app with the display set to "localhost:16.0" it gets a "BadAccess" error,
but if I run it with the display set to "127.0.0.1:16.0" or
"realhostname:16.0" it works fine. Can someone...

ClientAliveInterval
Hi,
I am having some trouble with the ClientAliveInterval server setting. My
(C++) application fails to start an SSH channel to an OpensSSH server within
this time-out period if it doesn't reply correctly to this 'keep-alive'
no-op that is sent by the server. How is this no-op handled? I am using the
libssh client library, and I could find no references on how to handle this.
I'll be really grateful if you guys help me...

Hello,
I'm attempting to build opensssh-4.3p2 using openssl-0.9.8b on a
Solaris 10 x64 machine. I use the gcc complier supplied by the Solaris
10x86 distribution under the package (SUNWgcc). My PATH is set to
/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sfw/bin
I get the following error during configure
# ./configure --prefix=/opt/openssh

openssh connection hangs upon shell exit
...nnection
has not checked the child status.
I understand that using a privately built distribution (distribution may be
not the adequate terms but I have no other) is most certainly the root
cause where some files, privileges, etc. is not set correctly. But I looked
everywhere, including the FAQ on opensssh.com and can not find any useful
guidance.
Any pointers for where to look? Using debug and strace does not help. I can
see 2 errors near the end but I am not sure they are real problem or
related to my issue. Here is the end of this trace (the write \r correspond
to the enter after exit):
