remove RPMs with cyclic dependancies.

Okay, so I couldn't figure out how to remove a bunch of RPM packages at
once, so I did this:
[root at localhost program]# rpm -qa | grep openoffice
And proceeded the labourous task of removing all of the RPMs listed one
by one.
But then I got down to some files that would say:
rpm -e openofficeorg-core01-1.9.122-1.i586
error: Failed dependencies:
openofficeorg-core01 is needed by (installed)
openofficeorg-core08-1.9.122-1.i586
So then I'd remove the dependancy, and guess what?:
rpm -e openofficeorg-core08-1.9.122-1.i586
error: Failed dependencies:
openofficeorg-core01 i...

Die, KDE! Die! (Sticking with Gnome and Yum Conflicts)
Okay, I experimented with both KDE and Gnome, and decided I'd rather use
Gnome. After making this decision, I wanted to remove KDE, because I
like to keep my hard drive as lean as possible.
I accomplished this, or so I thought, by running:
# yum groupremove "KDE (K Desktop Environment)".
It seemed to work. Removed a whole bunch 'o stuff.

Trying to get up and running with Open Office beta
I was using the beta version of Open Office on Windows for... I don't
know how long, but many months now. I quite like it and would like to
replace the current stable 1.1 build of OpenOffice that came with CentOS
with the beta.
So i downloaded the RPMs from the OpenOffice site and dutifully followed
their installation instructions, and it went well. I think. I mean,
there were no errors
