I am using AD DC. I already have a domain Samba3 + Openladp, I'm creating this new domain Samba4, but I want to import all users who have already registered in my base Openldap. A blank password should work yes, but I do not know if I can make is to put each user change password at next logon. Hi folks, I have successfuly migrated a WinNT 4.0 Domain to a Debian server with Samba3+Ldap following the Samba-3 by Example guide from John H. Terpstra (an impressive good guide) and The Linux Samba-OpenLADP Howto from Jerome Tournier & Olivier Lemaire. The domain holds about 800 accounts. The smb.conf,krb5.conf configs were pulled from other older but stable Linux servers and were modified for each server.
