OpenDKIM and SELinux
Following the most recent kernel updates I restarted our outgoing SMTP MTA which was recently reconfigured to DKIM sign messages using OpenDKIM. This morning I discovered that Postfix had stopped on that server. Whether it is related to the Postfix issue or not is yet to be determined but, in the process of getting things restarted I ran across this error with Open DKIM: # service opendkim restart Stopping OpenDKIM Milter:...

Opendkim and SELinux
CentOS-6.5 OpenDKIM-2.9.0 (epel) Postfix-2.6.6 (updates) I am trying to get opendkim working with our mailing lists. In the course of that endeavour I note that these messages are appearing in our syslog: May 4 20:50:02 inet08 setroubleshoot: SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/opendkim from using the signull access...

The OpenDKIM maintainers deprecated a configuration option (SenderHeaders) that we were using so the opendkim service would not restart. So there was nothing listening at port 8891. Removing the optin fixed the problem. I can find no discussion of why this option was removed and the OpenDKIM readme (http://ww...

opendkim-2.9.0
There was an update to opendkim 2.10.1 which I applied and now I am seeing this: warning: connect to Milter service inet:127.0.0.1:8891: Connection refused I tried to yum history rollback to 2.9.1 but that package has disappeared so I am evidently constrained to resolve this. Does anyone have any idea what has happened and wh...

Postfix fails after reboot
I am running CentOS 7 as an outbound gateway using Postfix, OpenDKIM, and SASLAuthd.? The trouble is Postfix fails if OpenDKIM and SASLAuthd aren?t already running and I have to manually restart these services in order.? My question is, should I modify my After line in the ?[Unit]? section of my postfix.service file to read ?After=syslog.target network.target opendk...

SMTPUTF8 support
Andr?, are you quite sure you have it working? In this thread someone from Open-Xchange stated that no, Dovecot doesn?t have SMTPUTF8 support implemented, and the same response was given by another Dovecot developer last September (it ?is being considered? was the answer then, see https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2018-September/112887.html). I am using LMTP to deliver mail to Dovecot from

2.3.10.1 on OpenBSD
Both Dovecot and OpenDKIM packages on OpenBSD are rejecting connections because of CRYPTO, and they use libressl by default. I use openssl because libressl does not implement dane, so I am recompiling both to serve my use case, and sharing results along the way. This is the opendkim error: > opendkim: ... SSL error:04F...
