2.2.25 dumps core with "Panic: file imap-client.c: line 837 (client_check_command_hangs): assertion failed: (client->io != NULL)"
Hello Timo, from the maintainer of the OpenCSW package I got the below answer. As the newly build package yields another different commit hash (which I cannot find on GitHub too), I would ask, if you are sure that the commit hash-output in 'doveconf -n' is generated correctly? The headline of 'doveconf -n' with the newly build...

Corrections for the R manual on Solaris
...tel CPUs, go in /usr/lib/amd64. Likewise many open-source software will install the 64-bit libraries in /usr/local/lib/amd64. There's no "intel64" or anything like that. 3) "Modern Solaris systems allow a large selection of Open Source software to be installed from http://www.opencsw.org (formerly http://www.blastwave.org) via pkg-get, " It should be noted that OpenCSW and Blastwave are both still in existence. There's a lot of animosity between the two camps, but both do exist. So one is not formally the other. Unfortunately, they both install software in /opt/cs...

version 2.2.6 breaks compiling on Solaris 10 sparc
Hello, I maintain the dovecot package at opencsw.org. The latest release of dovecot verison 2.2.6 has some changes to lib-http which is breaking compiling on Solaris 10 sparc (though x86 builds successfully). Here is part of the compiler output while building: libtool: compile: /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../.. -I.....

service(imap-login): chiled ... killed with signal 11
...dovecot/dovecot.conf: service(imap-login): drop_priv_before_exec=yes can't be used with chroot As user I can login and work normaly but I have to reconnect after a differnet connection will be closed causing a dovecot crash. Additional information: Solaris 10, packages openssl, openldap by opencsw I had seen a similar error during login process already with an rc-version. Because opencsw offers only an older version of openssl I installed current versions of openssl and openldap, So it works again. Now both packaged are up to date at opencsw. So I would like using these packages again wh...

Deploy puppet via NFS?
In our environ, there are several services that are deployed via an NFS mount, so that the executables and configs are consistent across the board. Is there any reason why this couldn''t be done with Puppet? For example, each individual system would contain its own /etc/puppet and rc.d and pid files -- but the primary deployment would come from NFS. For that matter, as Enterprise

Maximum zfs send/receive throughput
It seems we are hitting a boundary with zfs send/receive over a network link (10Gb/s). We can see peak values of up to 150MB/s, but on average about 40-50MB/s are replicated. This is far away from the bandwidth that a 10Gb link can offer. Is it possible, that ZFS is giving replication a too low priority/throttling it too much?

no network interfaces found on OpenIndiana (Illumos)
Hi, I've downloaded the samba 3.6.12 OpenCSW package. I joined openindiana to the the active directory, winbind seems to work fine, I see all the users with "wbinfo -u". However, my samba server is not starting. It seems that there is no network card found. 2013/03/06 10:40:39.068405, 0] lib/interface.c:543(load_interfaces) WARN...

[LLVMdev] is anyone using the sparc backend?
Hi Pawel, > We can not let it die and I volunteer to keep the Sparc alive! > > My SPARCstation pizzaboxes can be ready for action in a day or two. there are three sparc buildbots which are hooked up to lab.llvm.org. They are currently idle because no builders have been scheduled to use them: # gcc54 36G 0.5 GHz TI UltraSparc IIe (Hummingbird) / 1.5 GB RAM / Sun Netra T1 200 /

Last time I looked, the Ultra 24 was the lower-end x64 box, and again used some sort of Intel CPUs. 3) "Modern Solaris systems allow a large selection of Open Source software to be installed from http://www.opencsw.org (formerly http://www.blastwave.org) via pkg-get, " Again incorrect. Both Blastwave and OpenCSW are in existence. There is a lot of bad feelings between the two camps, but they do both still exist. I was going to ask if you knew how to build R as a 64-bit application on OpenSolaris x6...

NSD 3.2.1 for Solaris
Hello, I've packaged NSD for Solaris and it's available on OpenCSW. --> http://www.opencsw.org/packages/CSWnsd The package can be easily installed with "pkg-get install nsd". It works out of the box and it contains an SMF manifest for Solaris 10. Feedback is always welcome. Ihsan -- ihsan at dogan.ch http://blog.dogan.ch/

OpenSSH_5.4p1 Platform is Solaris 10 Sparc on both machines (and before anyone asks, I am not using Sun/Oracle's version of SSH, I am using the version at www.opencsw.org) Thanks in advance for any response you can provide.
