ROpenOffice (which requires Rcompression)
...on (data, labels, etc.) I use OpenOffice.org ODS spreadsheet files with several sheets in one file. However, I find it inconvenient to export every single sheet to a csv file whenever I apply changes to the labelling or so, and I haven't found a plugin or an application which does this batch in OOorg. Is there new development on a direct import package for ODS files? I've googled around one afternoon, found ROpenOffice (http://www.omegahat.org/ROpenOffice/) which requires Rcompression (http://www.mail-archive.com/r-help at r-project.org/msg55480.html), which in turn is quite outdated. Openoffice.org Gimp
Just wondering, what's the roadmap for OO to be upgraded.
I have version 2.0.4 and official is already in 2.3.x and suppose
in march there's going to be 2.4 version.
As well as Gimp, we using 2.2 and there is 2.4.x
Anyone heard upstream roadmap for upgrading?

Mini-centOS
I am using centOS for my server and centOS is extremely stable. I almost love centOS more than my wife. However, centOS is a bit heavy to run on my notebook (P III 1G, 256MB RAM). I need gnome, firefox, openoffice, realplayer, gaim, acrobat and thunderbird on my notebook, but if I install all of them (plus base-system), my notebook becomes very slow. I wish I could have a lighter version of centOS
