ff version 2.2.0
Dear R community, The next release of package ff is available on CRAN. With kind help of Brian Ripley it now supports the Win64 and Sun versions of R. It has three major functional enhancements: a) new fast in-memory sorting and ordering functions (single-threaded) b) ff now supports on-disk sorting and ordering of ff vectors and ffdf dataframes c) ff integer vectors now can be used as

[PATCH v1 3/3] virtio-balloon: Switch back to OOM handler for VIRTIO_BALLOON_F_DEFLATE_ON_OOM
Regarding Wei's patch that modifies the shrinker implementation, versus this patch which reverts to OOM notifier: I am in favor of both patches. But I do want to make sure a fix gets back ported to 4.19 where the performance regression was first introduced. My concern with reverting to the OOM notifier is, as mst@ put it (in the other thread): "when linux hits OOM all kind of error paths

[PATCH v3 0/2] shrink virtio baloon on OOM in guest
Excessive virtio_balloon inflation can cause invocation of OOM-killer, when Linux is under severe memory pressure. Various mechanisms are responsible for correct virtio_balloon memory management. Nevertheless it is often the case that these control tools does not have enough time to react on fast changing memory load. As a result OS runs out of memory and invokes OOM-killer. The balancing of

Hi, I am analyzing a repeated-measures Greco-Latin Square with the aov command. I am using aov to calculate the MSs and then picking by hand the appropriate neumerator and denominator terms for the F tests. The data are the following: responseFinger mapping.code Subject.n index middle ring little ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 1
