options(errorfn=traceback)
Dear R experts---I may have asked this in the past, but I don't think
I figured out how to do this. I would like to execute traceback()
automatically if my R program dies---every R programI ever invoke. I
guessed that I could have wrapped my entire R code into
tryCatch(
... oodles of R code
,
error = function(e) traceback(),
finally = cat("done")
}
but the traceback docs tell me that this does not generate a
traceback(). in a perfect world, I would stick this into my .Rprofile
and forget about it. in an super-perfect world, it would be an
option() that I just...

sip/rtp performance monitoring
I'm currently running asterisk to provide VoIP services to clients of
the ISP I work for.
I would like to be able to tell if I am loosing packets and/or are
having other issues with any of the voice streams, so I can address them
proactively.
I'm not particularly interested in spending oodles of money buying one
of the commercial analysis tools. Is there some open source tool (or
something I can monitor in asterisk) which will tell me if I'm missing
packets or similar? I realize this will likely be only from the
customer towards me since I can't really monitor at the cu...

v2.8.1 crashes on quit(save="yes") or just won't save (PR#13612)
Full_Name: Anne Gilman
Version: 2.8.1
OS: Mac OS X 10.4.11
Submission from: (NULL) (132.177.75.245)
Dear R Team,
Today I upgraded from R 2.2.2 to 2.8.1 ...then I restarted, did a bunch of
work, and tried to quit. (Note that I have oodles of stuff saved in the work
environment; took almost a full minute to start up.) After over 10 minutes, it
was still trying to close up, and the problem (below) for DBfetch was mentioned,
plus it said

lmtp(------): Debug: SSL_get_servername() failed
I have a smoothly running dovecot 2.3.7.2 & sendmail IMAP with SSL combo on
Fedora 30.
However, I see oodles of these when ssl verbosity is turned up:
lmtp(25738): Debug: SSL_get_servername() failed
Should I be concerned or is there a setting that stops that?

Xen 3.2.1 w/WinXP "ACPI Multiprocessor" HAL...
Hi All,
Was curious if anyone successfully running WinXP HVM (x86) under Xen
3.2.1 with the HAL set to "ACPI Multiprocessor" without using up oodles
of CPU time? Works great with "Standard PC" but would like to get all
the CPU cores accessible for XP...

More on parallelism
...ntracate real-world issues
involved. So in between real work (i.e., while waiting for long compiles
and the like), I devoted a fair number of cycles to thinking about this.
On and off, I've spent the past few weeks writing down many of my thoughts
on the topic in a white paper, complete with oodles of pseudocode
(somewhat of an oddity, I know, but IMHO, a code snipit = a thousand
words).
It turned into a generalized white paper (i.e., not specific to vorbis)
because of the parallel issues that are raised. However, it *exactly*
fits the model of the vorbis library calls (imagine that :-),...

...nks again. I confirm that Bugzilla 83550 is the same issue. I have attached the captured logs

Thanks! Hopefully you still have those kernels handy, as your logs got
cut off. Try booting with log_buf_len=100M to increase the
"scrollback" buffer (I assume you have oodles of RAM). Or grab the
kernel logs from your system.

"Justify" PCA? -- was: Bartlett's Test of Sphericity
Apologies for the obvious, but just to clarify: there is no reason to
"justify" a PCA -- it's just an eigen decomposition of a matrix and is
therefore "justified" by linear algebra.
If one wants to determine whether some subset of the eigenvectors =
principal components suffice to "represent" the data in some sense,
then that is where distributional

Authenticating to AD server fails.
I'm trying to configure a Fedora 7 machine to authenticate access to

configuration on Fedora maddeningly does not.
I've tried oodles of different configurations, and am currently using

discriminate analysis
Dear List,
I'd like to run a discriminate analysis on a data set, but have no idea
how to go about this in R. I have attempted to locate info in the manuals,
but may not be consulting the right sections or documents.
Can anyone point me to appropriate documentation if such exists.
Many thanks,

Finally! I''ve released Mongrel 0.3.13 OFFICIALLY to the public for
better or worse. This release is pretty huge compared to previous
releases. It''s got oodles of fixes, design improvements, hosting
enhancements, win32 changes, and the release even works with the latest
cygwin.
Read all about it at http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/news.html

Rsync Memory Issues - Kernel 2.4.18 - Box Hangs
Hi,
Im running a Dell 6450 w/ 4GB of memory, 2 2GB Swap Partitions. Redhat 7.3
kernel 2.4.18 (kernel.org). It runs our images for our site. We use rsync to
sync images from a main image box. It runs fine for maybe 4 days untill all
memory is in cache, and like 7MB of physical memory is free. The box will
hardly do anything, and cache will just keep going up and up untill no more
memory is free.

Deployement options
After reading the digital shortcut and the
documentation on the web site I''m confused.
Which one should I use? pen, balance or nginx ?
I don''t want to use a behemoth like appache and ssl is
not needed so it reduces my choice to those three
only....
What are the pros and cons of each? I don''t have much
money, so the less ressources I use the better it is
for me....

LDA vs. LMTP
Hi there,
I'm using Dovecot together with Postfix; as I understand it, there are two ways to transfer the mail from Postfix to Dovecot.
1.) by using LDA with mailbox_command = /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -f "$SENDER" -a "$RECIPIENT"
2.) by using LMTP with mailbox_transport = lmtp:unix:private/dovecot-lmtp
(currently using number 1)
I'm interessted in the

320x240 25fps/30fps

Lan / WIFI support (auto/manual upload of file on

I am bouncing the idea around of developing a handheld

ZFS High Availability
I''m looking for input on building an HA configuration for ZFS. I''ve read the FAQ and understand that the standard approach is to have a standby system with access to a shared pool that is imported during a failover.
The problem is that we use ZFS for a specialized purpose that results in 10''s of thousands of filesystems (mostly snapshots and clones). All versions of
