Iterate in a Spatial Polygon Dataframe in R?
Hi all,
?I'm trying to iterate in a SpatialPolygonDataFrame thatcontains 110 features. I tried to use the following code?
iterate.spdf =function(x){ for (i in 1:nrow(x)){ p = x[i, ]} return(p)}
but with no success as it returns with aSpatialPolygonDataFrame that contains onlyone feature. The code seems to overwrite the polygons to end up with only onefeature.
?Any suggestions?Ashraf, cheers

Cluster with VM and global resources
...ch store it image file (to avoid
node to try to start VM if it don't have required filesystem or stop VM
when it lost the filesystem).
When i add global resources to a "normal" cluster service, it works, but
it don't when i try to add global resources to a VM service.
I'm the onlyone with this type of configuration ?
Someone know if it's a bug or it's not supported ?
I don't find anything about it in cluster documentation/man
pages/<cluster commands> --help
Have a nice day.
Regards.

One-to-one or one-to-many association
Hi,
I am creating a stock control application.
I have a table called "equipment_type" that stores a general
description of a piece of equipment. This could be for instance: Canon
60D DSLR camera.
I also have an table called "equipment" that stores all the equipment
we have with their serial numbers. There may be many Canon 60Ds and
they should refer to the

Can't seem to setup remote access to doveadmI'm using
I?m running version 2.1.7 under Raspbian Wheezy (and have been for a number of years). I want to allow one of my other computers to remotely issue doveadm commands to my server but can?t seem to find the right way to add an inet listener to permit this.
Using ?doveconf -a? I?ve found the default service definition for doveadm-server. So I copied that and added it to the dovecot configuration with

creating a mailbox via imap

Wouldn't that be dependent on how Dovecot auth worker verifies a user exist and is valid? Such as for one method, database queries. How would Dovecot know

Puppet 100% CPU usage
Hi,
I''ve been experimenting with Puppet for a few days now, and I really
like it.
But! I''m having real CPU usage problems.
Puppet is still happily eating away 100% CPU for almost an hour at a
time, with no apparent things happening.
(puppetd -tv --trace --debug, but nothing appearing in the console
during this.)
I believe the following resource is to blame:

rename(2), atomicity, crashes and fsync()
Hi all,
Recently there''s been discussion [1] in the Linux community about how
filesystems should deal with rename(2), particularly in the case of a crash.
ext4 was found to truncate files after a crash, that had been written with
open("foo.tmp"), write(), close() and then rename("foo.tmp", "foo"). This is
because ext4 uses delayed allocation and may not
