inherits() and virtual classes
Hi
How do I test for an object having a particular virtual class?
In the following, "onion" is a virtual class, and "octonion" is
a non-virtual class contained in onion. The last call
to inherits() gives FALSE [R-2.5.0], when inherits.Rd led
me to expect TRUE.
setClass("onion",
representation = "VIRTUAL"

as.environment(NULL)
Hi
In NEWS, it says
R CMD check now tests that the package can be loaded, and that
the package and namespace (if there is one) can each be loaded
in startup code (before the standard packages are loaded).
For package "onion", I think I have followed all of
sections 1.6.1 - 1.6.6 of R-exts, and it passes R CMD check for
R-2.3.1.
However, using R version 2.4.0 Under

add points to 3D plot using p3d {onion}
Hi,
Can anyone guide me as to how I can add points to a p3d() plot from
the onion package?? I want to plot points with different colors on the
same 3D plot.? Perhaps I can do this without adding points but somehow
directing the 'h' parameter to give different color to points based on
a factor I assign to them?
FYI, I can do this using using scatterplot3d() and points3d(), but
these plots

tinc works well using Tor v3 onions, with MPTCP link aggregation
tinc hosts listen for connections to Tor v3 onion services, and they connect to peers using Tor SocksPorts. MPTCP aggregates full-mesh connections between hosts. For Internet hosts with well-peered gigabit uplinks, this permits throughput among peers at 30-50 Mbps for multiple streams, vs ~10 Mbps at most for individual connections.

scoring problem in acts_as_ferret
Hi,
I am using acts_as_ferret and have a problem with scoring. I would like
to organize it in such way that, if any of the searched terms fits, I
get 1.0 score as a result. I will explain it on the example.
I have in index:
a) "one two three four"
b) "one two three"
c) "one two"
d) "one"
When I search for "one" I would like to get 1.0 score for

how to ignore NA when using cumsum?
I would like to cumulatively sum rows in a matrix, in which each row has 1
NA value. The usual "na.rm=TRUE" does not seem to work with the command
cumsum. Is there another way to ignore the NAs or do I need to figure out a
different way to do this?
Here's an example matrix of title "proportion":

Tinc with TOR: hostname leak
Hi guys! I'm trying to setup private network inside TOR using "proxy =
socks5" variable in tinc.conf, but I found that tinc trying to resolve
.onion domain with system resolver first, leaking peer's tor hostname to
ISP. So is there any way to disable such behavior and resolve hostname
with proxy?

getting kernel version and cvs version in sync
Hello,
what is the state of the onion with the ext3 support in the upcoming 2.4.15? I don't think it will be on the current cvs level (due to linus accept policy :). So, will there be patches to place a current kernel on the cvs state?

config.force_ssl :unless => :tor_hidden_service
Not sure where to patch this, but: config.force_ssl should be inactive for
tor hidden services (for those, ssl can if anything be worse).
Any suggestions?
One way to do it would be to check for whether the TLD is .onion. There may
be some gotchas with e.g. cookies or similar bits, for sites that operate
both as HTTPS and Tor hidden service (which is what I''m trying to set up).
