Can one get a list of recommended packages?
R 2.10.1 is used in the Sage maths project. Several recommended packages (Matrix, class, mgcv, nnet, rpart, spatial, and survival) are failing to build on Solaris 10 (SPARC). We would like to be able to get a list of the recommended packages for R 2.10.1, but ideally via a call to R, so it is not necessary to update that list every time a new version of R is released. We do not want to access

Corrections for Solaris stuff in manual
There are a number of errors in the R manual about Solaris. http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-admin.html#Solaris 1) Firstly, Sun are now owned by Oracle, who bought them for $7 billion. 2) "(Recent Sun machines are Opterons (?amd64?) rather than ?x86?, but 32-bit ?x86? executables are the default.) " That's incorrect. All recent Sun workstations used *Intel* CPUs -

wine config file.
Most instructions for installing Wine suggest that you modify the wine.cfg file that comes with the distro, but with Mandrake 7.1 this appears to be a blank file. I have written a very simple config file, but though it seems to work, I feel that it is probably not extensive enough to run Wine at its best. Is there anywhere I can download a typical file that I can modify to suit my system. There

IAX peers and NAT
Help, I'm stuck. Lost in the woods. I have one Asterisk running on FreeBSD outside on the Wild Internet. One on the safe inside, behind a NAT firewall. The inside server registers with IAX to the outer one and can place calls. The outside one can't register to the one on the inside, since it can't be reached on the private network. Now to my problem: * How do I dial from outside to

Help with Dev Kit Lite
I installed Asterisk as per instructions in the FAQ on the digium.com site. Double checked it. I also think they have a bug in the zapata.conf where the context should be incoming and not internal. 1) I hear no dialtone when I pickup the phone on the S100U. Asterisk sees the event and displays the message on the screen. I tried dialing but nothing happens. I hangup and * shows the hangup event.

Your thoughts..
I need to get your thoughts on something.. :) I am trying to create a system to process the CDR call logs for department accounting.. I think there are two ways of doing it.. Either I can create an AGI that will run on the "h" extension and will lookup the last entry that matches the account code of the call that just ended in the MySQL CDR and calculate the call cost immediately..

Am I missing somthing?
Should the following setup work? SIP UA---NAT---Internet---NAT---SIP UA If both UA's support STUN and report the external IP address in the SIP packet.. I am trying to get away from using canreinvite=no so that traffic can go directly between the UA's and not via the central server but I can't seem to get it to work.. Has anyone set this up and can give me some pointers??

R can't find gcc library that other programs can.
R is used in the Sage project. R is building on Solaris 10 with SPARC processors. Until recently, I did not give it much more thought, as it appeard to build ok. More recently someone noticed a test failure. It would appear a number of modules are not building (Matrix, class, mgcv, nnet, rpart, spatial, and survival) are all failing to build. But the R build process does not terminate. Is

CVS File README.mysql concern..
Just looking at the README.mysql file in the CVS.. It contains this line.. "We will, where appropriate, make it available via a separate package which will only be usable when Asterisk is used completely within GPL (i.e. not in conjunction with G.729, OpenH.323, etc)." Does this mean that if G.729 licences are installed and used then the MySQL functions can't be used?? This is
