NIS+ trouble

I ran mknissmbpwdtbl.sh to make the nis+ table, then cat'd
smbpasswd through mknissmbpasswd.sh to populate the nis+

When I try to change passwords for a user as root I get this:

I've created the smbpasswd file from my nis+ tables, set the perms
per the docs (encryption.txt to name one) and when I try to run
smbpasswd to set a password for a user I get the following

AR(2) coefficient interpretation
I am a beginner in using R and I need help in the interpretation of AR result
by R. I used 12 observations for my AR(2) model and it turned out the
intercept showed 5.23 while first and second AR coefficients showed 0.40 and
0.46. It is because my raw data are in million so it seems the intercept is
too small and it doesn't make sense. Did i make any mistake in my code? My
code is as follows:

Multidimensional scaling and distance matrices
...Statistica transformed the kinship matrix
into a distance one (how?) is anybody's guess.
A quick search immediately showed that a multidimensional scaling is
done on a distance matrix. See for instance:
MASS4, pg 304
"Elements of computational statistics", Jentle, pg 122
Edwards and Oman's article, page 2-7 R-News 3/3
The fact that Statistica happily perform MDS on a "kinship" matrix is
puzzling. Indeed, I would expect errors, as in the following toy
example, without transforming the kinship matrix to distances:

R codes for Intervention Time Series Analysis
Dear everyone, I need R codes to fit an Intervention Time Series Model for two separate policies for a single observed time series.
Please, I have prior knowledge of how to fit the impact parameter(omega) but I no not the codes for the decay parameter(delta). Can someone help me?

help request
Good day everyone, I am using the data below to fit Intervention Time Series model for two policies introduced in 2002 (54th data point) and 2003 (55th data point) respectively. Please can anyone give me a complete R code for modeling the two step functions? I have already modeled the pre-intervention period (1948 - 2001) but I need codes for the full intervention modelĀ that estimates the impact
