How to resolve an up2date package conflict?
...it, libtool is already installed and causes
the conflict; so which to solve first :P
Can anyone let me know how I can manually solve this problem (note
that libtool was not offered as a selectable package, but rather is
enforced when trying to install e.g. gcc)?
Tnx in advance, and cheers,

Trouble with finding a network printer...help please...:(((
...and Appletalk.
Now, try as I might, I cannot get it to work anymore. I tried finding it
over TCP/IP by its IP address, but no luck so far.
Does anyone know how to go about this?
If this is somehow off-topic for the list, off-list replies are also
elcome of course.
Thanks in advance, and cheers!

CUPS problem with network printing - SOLVED!!! :)))
...rror.
OMG; how blatantly obvious yet easy to overlook this issue now all of a
sudden became! :P
Indeed... Adding the dymo-labelwriter.local alias with it's
corresponging IP address to the /etc/hosts file did the trick. Now it
works fine again!
Live and learn....;)
'Ave a good weekend!

CUPS support for Canon i255 Inkjet Printer?
Hi all
I tried installing a remote WINXP SMB shared Canon i255 Inkjet printer
on the CUPS printer queue, but could not find the model number in the
supported printers list.
How do I print on this printer?
With regards.

complain about anything, but still it doesn't work any differently from
the above. :(((
Does anyone know how to go about this (I don't mind doing a source
compilation, just as long as I now which version to grab and how to get
it properly installed)?

CentOS and HP Drivers
I am debating installing CentOS on a new HP DL580 with an MSA1000 SAN.
HP offers drivers that are specific to RHEL and will not install on
other RH distros i.e. RH 9.
Has anyone gotten the HP SupportPack to install under CentOS?
Thanks!

How to properly bridge the network to CentOS under Parallels on a Macbook Pro?
...I do not want to risk messing up all sorts of settings.
Also, in CentOS I do know how to set a fixed IP address, but I am not
certain if perhaps I have to add a 'direct route' or so. Does anyone
know if this is (also) necessary?
Thanks in advance for any and all answers, and cheers,
