B410P - BRI NT 100 Ohm terminator
Hi, My set up is : Asterisk with B410P in NT mode <-------------cat5 straight cable ----------------> Another PBX in TE mode Is the 100 Ohm terminator you can find on B410P boards, necessary when connecting in NT mode to another PBX (set in TE mode) ? tuning an x100p in Australia for echocancellation
...to play? I guess if you set it to zero then you only have to deal with an estimation of the line losses. > > Next, while the TDM400 card has control over the line impedence > > circuitry, the x100p doesn't. > > Are the AU telephone standards the same as US standards (eg, 600 ohm > impedence)? This is a question I've been trying to answer too. I had a look at the standard phone that Telstra would provide to customers about 5 years ago, and it has an impedence switch on the bottom to toggle between 'NORM' and '600', which suggests that 600 ohms isn...

Help With Physical Layer
...t is also well configured because when I interchange the cables (with the exiting cable from the other telco), the alarm clears emmediately for the 1st telco and becomes RED for the 2nd telco. A loop also clears the alarm on both ports. The telco has told me to make sure that Line Impedance is 120 ohms but There's no where to set that and when I was reading, I was told that E1 is already 120 ohms so no need to change anything. Has anyone here experienced this? What other things can I try? Thank you! Regards, Tim -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... U...

X100M never goes on-hook state
...Digium card (TDM2400), it works ok. The same with my Brazilian DigiVoice FXO card. Ok, you all might say: your card is damaged, throw it away. Ok, I could do it, but now comes the funny part: If I put an DSL filter in series with the line and the card, IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!! The filter imposes 25 ohms over the circuit. Maybe that's causing the card to work. When I put the filter and the ammeter in series, I get zero amper when on-hook and 26 mA when off-hook, that's the expected behaviour. I'm not an expert in electricity, so I really don't know why the card is behaving that wa...

passing opermode to the wcfxs module
...? how would i pass the opermode=AUSTRALIA parameter to the wcfxs.ko module as kldload doesnt let you pass parameters to the module like modprobe in Linux. I tried to get the sysctl variable using sysctl -a it might use but nothing applicable was visible.... i need to set the impedences to 600 ohms, can someone please advice me on how to pass the parameters to the module? regards Kavit

It has never worked :( Hi Tony I'm not familiar with the card you but 120 ohm is usually twisted pair, and 75 ohm is coax (usually). If it is changeable its usually done with jumpers on the card. I have used RAD modems before and their cable will have a specific pinout that you need to match. I doubt your digium card by default matches the pins, but maybe, and perhaps ma...

tuning an x100p in Australia for echo cancellation
I have an x100p which suffers from echo (no surprise there apparantly :), and a few of the things I've read about tuning out echo say the first thing to get right is the tx and rx gain, and for that you need a few different types of test lines from the telco (Telstra, Optus, whatever). Does anyone have any numbers in Australia for such lines? I think they just need to send out a tone of a

E100 or TE410 card an PRA line
We are located in Belgium and just ordered a PRA line, the telco asked the following questions : - 120 or 75 ohm ? - Support for CRC4 yes/no ? - B channels in 2 way ? We will buy a digium card but which one should we buy ? could anybody help me with this ? Still unacceptable echo on X101P
I am still having unacceptable echo on my X101P and twidling with the rx/tx gain levels and echo settings appears to have no discernable effect. Some questions for those who may have more significant electrical engineering background than I. 1. This impedance match thing ... will it affect this solution having other phones in parallel with the X101P? This is done so that I can test while not

Crc4 issues
Hi All, This is our 2nd E1 client that we try to use crc4 either with the e100p or with the e405p without luck. After some trials, we ask the telco to switch off crc4 on their side and everything works flawlessly. Is there anything in the crc4 calculation that may be broken? We took a look at wct1xxx.c and wct4xx.c but there doesn't seem to be much there to be fixed (apparently the crc4

Classification Analysis
Hi everyone, Could somebody explain to me what is the package/function for classification analysis. I am performing analysis of music files in the form of MIDI files. I end up with about 750 dependent variables from the analysis, I also have a number of independent/grouping variables that I set manually. What I would like is to be able to predict which group a particular MIDI files belongs to

Dahdi, b410p and looping from 1 port to another
Hello, Is it possible, for testing, to connect an cat5 straight patch cord between 2 ports of a Digium B410P card and use these 2 ports as a normal dahdi trunk ? I've tried this: One port is set as NT, the other as TE. I would expect timing to come for system hardware so I choose in /etc/dahdi/system.conf : span=1,0,0,ccs,ami span=2,0,0,ccs,ami Results: - both ports lights are green -

Overload Point for OPUS
Hello, Can you please tell me what the overload point is for OPUS in dBm0 or dBV? As an example, the G.711 A law codec has an overload point of +3.14 dBm0 across a 600 ohm circuit. In ITU-T G.100.1 section 5.8 you can read more about the relationship between dBm0 and dBov. In that same section you can see that the G.711 A law, u law, and G.722 codec overload points are also defined. Thank you, Marc Marroquin Telecom Account Manager HEAD acoustics,...

X101P on a UK BT line ---- txgain issue
I am finding that I have to increase the txgain in zapata.conf to 8 when my X101P is connected to my BT phone line, otherwise people can hardly hear me. This then gives echo issues. Do other people have the same problem on BT lines. I was wondering if I should give BT a call and get them to increase the gain on the line. Strange though as the rxgain is OK and I don't have this problem with

How to lower float charge voltage of an APC Smart UPS unit
...erimental and dangerous, but it does work. 2) Unplug the UPS, Disconnect and remove the batteries, press the ON button, and wait five minutes for all internal voltages to bleed off. 3) Remove the cover from the UPS and remove the plastic sheet which covers the circuit board. 4) Locate the 100K ohm resistor labelled R118. You have found the right resistor if one end of it connects to pin 14 of the intergrated circuit labelled APC2020. This is the sense resistor for the battery float charge voltage regulator. 5) Solder a 1.3M ohm resistor in parallel with R110, to lower the resistance by...
