GPOs: only Default Domain Policy is being applied, ohers are ignored
I recently discovered that only the Default Domain Policy is being applied.
All other GPOs seem to be ignored. All Sysvol filesystem objects have the
right permissions. Both DCs are running Samba 4.4.3 over CentOS 7. There are
no related errors in logs or Windows Event Viewer. Other policies did work
before. I noticed that the corresponding filesystem objects were lastly
placed on users desktops

How to install a package that needs to see oher pkg dependencies:
Hi,
I am trying to install the genetics package on a server with Linux,
Fedora. I installed it in a PC and worked fine.
In a server since I am not used with R, I am not sure what do I need to
change so genetics pkg can see some package dependencies:
Any suggestion is appreciated, Aldi
Note:
genetics expects gregmisc and mvtnorm to be installed already. gregmisc
creates gdata etc dependencies.

? only accepts blanks as starting and endpoint (e.g. You could write " b l a h , " instead of " *blah,* " but i see no way to write " *blah*, " in spaced text.
Maybe someone has ideas on how to avoid the drawbacks or oher possible uses.

question regarding mx servers with same priority
...er with lower higher MX
i tested this setup n had some queries earlier n thanks to guys like scott
for some prfect advise i did manage to check it out n it works beautiful
2) have another server with same value of MX so it cd load balance and
also doc says if one server is down or unavaliable the oher server would
receive mail
now my query is ... if i now configure a second mail server with same MX
priority .
a) do i have to create all the existing user accounts on my existing email
server to this new server
cause i already hav about 300+ email users already

ajax.updater problem
Hi everyone
I´know that it is not a ajax forum, but Im using ajax ina program
created with rails code and I think that I´m not the unique person who
use the Ajax. UpdaterPeriodically.
My problem is that my program doesn´t refresh the div tag, following
it´s my source code. Anyone can say me why it doesn´t work?

Improve the rendering speed of rhtml
I found through the log file that the render of the rhtml template would
take too much time if there exists ruby code in the rhtml files.In many
cases,these ruby code are tied with these rhtml files closely and can
not be decoupled from that,therefore,i have a question that,is there
exist some way to improve the rendering speed of rhtml when some ruby
codes are included?

After bad experience on fedeora core 6, I have tested a OpenSuse 10.2beta2.
I have installed with success a Windows XP SP2.
The hardware:
A intel DQ965gf
Intel Core 2 Duo 6700
USB DVD reader
IDE disk (PATA)
Set AHCI mode in BIOS and add all-generic-ide in boot option.
The opensuse 10.2beta2 does not well configured the xen kernel, you should do a

SOAP for large datasets
I''ve been playing around with a soap interface to an application that
can return large datasets (up to 50mb or so). There are also some
nested structures for which I''ve used ActionWebService::Struct with
2-3 nested members of oher ActionWebService::Struct members. In
addition to chewing up a ton of memory, cpu ulilization isn''t that
great either. My development server is a dell 2600 Xeon 1.8mghz.
It seems like creating all of the nested structures might be what''s
eating all the cpu. Cpu utilitzation go...

Connection is up - but no packets are coming back...
...I can't reach a host behind the tinc "Server".
Maybe I did something completely wrong, so let me first describe my
network....
The "Server" has multiple Interfaces, be we just care for two of them
here. One NIC "eth2" ist to the LAN (192.168.100.x/24) and the oher one
is the "vpn" Interface.
What I want: When I connect via Internet to the tinc deamon on the
Server, I want to be someone with the IP 192.168.100.x/24. I've
organized the LAN so that 192.168.100.20/24 - 192.168.100.49/24 are
"reserved" for VPN Clients.

ntlm_auth seems ok, initial auth failure with dovecot2 (and winbind 4.1.13)

I've read quite often that there are problems with ntlm_auth helper
(last one here http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2014-June/096561.html).
But haven't found any confirmation, neither it's working for anybody
else nor that it's known taht this issue needs debuging.
Like for ohers, my authentication tests from the commandline with
ntlm_auth exactly give expected results.
But initial authentication (with Outlook) fail at first, but after
entering the user's password, nevertheless succeeds with mech=NTLM.

...2.168.1.254\ brings up Windows Explorer and a list of shares.
I've included the remote browse entries in smb.conf on the PDC and have
WINS Proxying set up on the BDC but I can't get it to push REMOTE1's IP
back to the WINS server.
Port scanning the internal IP of each machine from the oher end of the
tunnel returns a full set of open ports for the services I'm using but no
IP.
If anyone can spot what I'm doing wrong I'd be grateful.

I've included the remote browse entries in smb.conf on the PDC and have
WINS Proxying set up on the BDC but I can't get it to push REMOTE1's IP
back to the WINS server.

tunnel returns a full set of open ports for the services I'm using but no
IP.
If anyone can spot what I'm doing wrong I'd be grateful.

How to control TEMP directory
This is a slight rework of my last question but should be clearer.
My samba installation appears to be trying to use /root/tmp as its temp directory. This is
useless as when logged in as a user the system has no access to the temp directory and so
nothing works. How do I pursaude Samba to use /tmp as the temp dir. I am running Samba
3 on a Mandrake system.

LoginSystem : make @session available to models
Hello.
LoginSystem is cool, it populates the @session instance variable of
controllers with many useful info.
The fact is : it would be cool to let models know about the session,
too.
For instance, after_update and after_create callbacks could store *who*
did *what* on *what.

[PATCH 0 of 2] Paging support updates for XCP dom0
This is a cherry pick of two patches that add support for guest paged out
frames in the XCP 2.6.32 dom0 patch queue.
First patch propagates the ENOENT returned by the hypervisor in the case
of a paged out page, all the way up the call chain to the MMAPBATCH_V2
ioctl. The ioctl is mainly used to harvest those return values and retry.
