Discontinuous stream support in libogg1
Hello, I recently added discontinuous stream support to libogg1. The patch is attached. I also wrote Writ codec for libogg1 (based on original code by Arc), and sample Writ encoder (SubRip to Writ converter) and decoder. Is anybody interested? ogg_stream_reset() question
Hi Ogg experts! My current work is catenating packets from several ogg files to the one long stream, so I'd like to create stream once, and then reset it just before reading codec headers from every new file. However, after calling ogg_stream_reset_serialno(ogg_stream_state *os, int serialno), bos page is not pushed in stream since it calls ogg_stream_reset(ogg_stream_state *os), which

ogg_stream_packetout() and stream mixing
Just to make sure, if I'm mixing 2 streams at the page level, and using ogg_stream_pagein() and ogg_stream_packetout() to extract them, I need two ogg_stream_states, one for each logical stream, and I need to ensure that each ogg_stream_state only sees pages of it's own type, is that right? - Martin --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to...

A few questions how to use libogg
1.) after initializing a ogg_stream_state may I just keep calling ogg_stream_packetin with valid ogg_packet's until no more ogg_packets needs to be added? Or do I need to call ogg_stream_pageout after every ogg_stream_packetin? Iaw may I delay calling ogg_stream_pageout until there are no more packets to be added? 2.) I assume I have call ogg_stream_pageout until no more pages can be

Initializing vorbis using ov_open_callbacks fail with OV_ENOTVORBIS. But why?
Dear members, since two weeks I am stuck, trying to demux a physical ogg stream (theora and vorbis) and play the audio part using vorbisfile. I hope that one of you can give me a hint or point me to additional documentation. I used ogg.h and vorbisfile.h. The way so far: - initializing an ogg_sync_state - inserting data to sync_state using ogg_sync_buffer - when whole page found

Vorbis primitive API examples (LONG)
Okay, how do I drop a changeset/patchset/tag for you folks from SVN? At this point, I have written three examples of how to use the basics of the ogg streaming and decoding in Tremor. I heartily welcome any suggestions, improvements and corrections that you can point out in the code. The examples required me to make some small modifications to the main tremor library. However, the changes

How to debug a missing symbol with ThinLTO?
David, Thanks for looking into this. I did a small reproduction on my machine outside of my build system. So here is how to reproduce: Download https://downloads.xiph.org/releases/ogg/libogg-1.3.4.tar.xz Download llvm-10.0.1 macOS binary export PATH=<path to llvm/bin>:$PATH export SDKROOT=/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX.sdk untar

How to debug a missing symbol with ThinLTO?
Hello, I am building libogg with clang (10.0.1) on macOS and if I pass "-flto=thin" to C and LDFLAGS it will not link correctly claiming missing symbols when linking to the archive (libogg.a). undef: _ogg_stream_init Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: "_ogg_stream_init", referenced from: _main in lto.o Removing lto=thin fixes the problem. Inspecting the AR libs with

Simple encodig sample...
Hi all. I'm Mat & I'm new :) I'm testing libtheora + libogg perhaps for a commercial product. I started watching encoder_example.c ... I simplified it for testing it easier. It seems ok to me but I have no experience with theora so I would like to know if my code is correct. I tried to debug it with Valgrind and I found 4 possible memory leaks... but I think they can be

How to debug a missing symbol with ThinLTO?
This is usually a problem that is not using llvm-ar. I cannot reproduce this problem with either llvm 10.0 or TOT version. Which linker version are you using? You can also try pass "-Wl,-debug_snapshot" to the command where the error produces and then locate the "*.ld-snapshot" in /tmp directory and attach that as a reproducer. Newbie: How to rewind a videostream (long)
Hello, I'm new to this list, and pretty much also to the codec universe. In a computer game I'm working on, there is an 3D TV-screen onto which I project the frames of a movie. The movie is of course stored as theora, no audio as it's not needed yet. I have it working so far, extracting a frame and uploading it to the graphics card when the scene is drawn. The example file

Vectored I/O for libogg
Folks, the packets I want to place in an ogg stream are concatenations of two hunks of memory. Rather than memcopy() them into one then pass them to libogg, I patched framing.c to accept iovecs. The unified diff is 80 lines, minus the OS-specific stuff for defining struct ogg_iovec_t - pretty trivial. Is there any interest in it? Or is libogg frozen while all efforts are concentrated on

packet over several pages
Hello everyone, I'm programming something using ogg vorbis and i was wondering how I could get a packet from a logical bitstream when this packet is over several pages. let's say I made a call to ogg_stream_pagein, then ogg_stream_packetout, but the packet is incomplete and continued in the next page(s). If I get the following page and I call ogg_stream_pagein again, how can i get

Trying to do windows encoding dll
Hi everybody, me again. I'm trying to write my own VFW-like dll... It doesn't need to do much. 1.) compress a single frame and give it back to the host application 2.) host applications sends the frame 3.) client application receives frame 4.) client application tells the dll to decompress the data So if I try to do this, something is going wrong... Perhaps someone could have a look at my

More trival questions
Hopefullly this is once again something trivial I'm missing. I'm still trying to figure out how to pull a part a stream. I get two out the three theora headers I can see in the file (http://v2v.cc/~j/theora_testsuite/320x240.ogg) if I use the buffer in the page struct and nothing usable if I try to use the packet structs. Hopefully this is once again something something trivial I've

Updating flac include problems
Updating the fink flac to 1.0.4, it won't compile because finds the headers of the previous version in /sw/include, because the CPPFLAGS/CFLAGS are being put before the local includes: (configure with ./configure --prefix=/sw --mandir=/sw/share/man ) gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"\" -DPACKAGE_TARNAME=\"\" -DPACKAGE_VERSION=\"\" -DPACKAGE_STRING=\"\"

Looks like your static library is not even pulled into the link command so the static library is not even in the snapshot. From the link command in the snapshot, the static library is not on the command line from snapshot: /Applications/Xcode-11.3.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/ld -Z -demangle -object_path_lto

unable to compile speex-1.1.10
Dear all, I'm Arun, new in this group. and newbie in Linux also. I am working on linphone and I want to compile linphone, but before that I want to compile speex-1.1.10 for uClinux using bfin-gcc. I used these three files : uClinux-dist-2005R3.tar.bz2 bfin-gcc-3.4-2005R3.1.tar.gz speex-1.1.10.tar I sucessfully compiled and installed bfin-gcc, and
