[LLVMdev] About python requirement, can down to 2.6 for rhel 6?
...e is requiring
>>> just 2.6, we may as well just require 2.7.
I'm using rhel 6 so the default python version is still 2.6,
down the requirement to 2.6 will help rhel 6 a little bit.
Here is python 2.7 features
https://docs.python.org/3/whatsnew/2.7.html
Is these fetures must be use?
Ofcource I can build python 2.7 myself or use rhel software collections,
but it will make the software I built on llvm require python 2.7 too.
If python 2.6 is ok I hope llvm require this version for the years until switch to python 3.

preliminary nv50 wfb patch
This patch will only work with Option "EXAPixmaps" "1", and will
prevent classic exa from working.
Occasionally a pixmap fails to map, but that's not related to this patch.
I haven't done any hardcore optimisations, but suggestions are
ofcource appreciated.
In my experience some benchmarks suck now (gtkperf for which had it's
performance halved), and qt4 is definitely faster than gtk (gtk has
some odd rendering scenarios).
This is by no means finished, but i wanted to share what i have.
Maarten.

...amount of samples is spent on that, so suggestions on
how to improve that are appreciated.
I'm out of time for the moment.
I'm curious how this performs for other people (obviously with Option
"EXAPixmaps" "1").
You will need a git'ish xserver for this to work and ofcource a geforce8 or 9.

Samba as a PDC in a citrix environment
Hi all,
this is a long time since my last post to this list and I have got a small
question... (ofcource :)
I'm going to introduce citrix into our office (two citrix XPa servers which are
load balanced). According to the Citrix XPa docs it is not a good idea to use
one of this servers as a PDC/BDC, I can imagine that (we wouldn`t want to give
NT to much responsebilities).
so my question is.....

Why do non-lvds monitors default to dithering these days?
...PU based dithering is only needed for laptop displays if i
had to guess.
I was almost thinking my monitor was malfunctioning because of strange
barely visible flickering. Now it *seems* as if dithering was the
problem, although time will have to tell, because it's subtle to see
these effects.
Ofcource i can try and find a way to set the connector property more
permanently (if anyone has suggestions besides sticking an xrandr
command in my .xinitrc please let me know), but i don't see why we
would need to assume that anything but lvds and eDP needs to be
dithered.

Using one buffer object per (EXA) pixmap potentially wastes memory.
I've been doing some testing and it seems that glyphs (typically
smaller than a page size on nv50) render slow'ish sometimes, mostly
due to the many trips to the kernel (drm_addmap_core is the symbol
that shows up). Ofcource this was a benchmark, but it does leave me
wondering, do we really need need to call the kernel for every little
pixmap? Also from a memory point of view, because a single page can
theoretically contain 32 pixmaps. Is it problematic to combine small
allocations into at least a single page?

acts_as_encapsulating / acts_as_inherit
...st part.
But it''s messy:
- some hardcoding in the model is still required
- mass asignment for update or new instance of models is broken
- and some more advanced features are still waiting.
So who do we need?
Somebody who has experience in modifieing key methods in ActiveRecord
And ofcource any feedback or help is welcome.
The project is located @ http://rubyforge.org/projects/actasenherit/
(for some reason they renamed it to act_as_enherit)
we have a demo app available so you can see what we are aiming for
So check it out!

Thema: [Samba] Password sync problem
Hi,
I have installed Samba 2.2.3a on a AIX 4.3.3 server which also act as a NIS
master.
Samba is configured as a PDC and I would like to sync the password between
Samba and NIS.
Ofcource this doesn't work as expected and I need help.
Have anyone ever tested the 'unix password sync' together with AIX 4.3.3?
When I try to change the password with smbpasswd I get an error message:
machine 127.0.0.1 rejected the password change: Error was: RAP86: The
specified password is...

password sync problem
Hi!
I'm a newbie on this. This system had been setup by a guy before me.
Doing a testparm gives me one of these messages:
---cut----
ERROR: the 'unix password sync' parameter is set and the 'passwd
program' (/bin/
passwd) cannot be executed (error was No such file or directory).
---cut---
This might be the reason why I get logs such as this:

2 Issues here:-
1. Why is the Channel2: "AsyncGoto/SIP/902-007fe948<ZOMBIE>" instead of

Samba AD Internal DNS, Postfix & Email Relay
Is there an extra step which must be taken to get postfix
to deliver email via a relay host when the postfix machine
is pointing to an samba internal DNS?
I did a test setup using a public DNS server and it worked.
Same setup where the machine (Debian 9) is pointing to a
samba DNS doesn't work. The errors in the postfix log
seem to be DNS related.
Thanks,

PATCH: multiple BindAddress
...stable IP addresses. But sometimes I move to another network with
complete different addresses. So I created patch which on option
BindAddress accept list of addresses. With ip I solved two main
problems:
1. When using "Host *" it is possible to set address from one family
(IPv4 or IPv6), ofcource there can be introduced BindAddress4 and
BindAddress6 options
2. I can move to another net and there no need do modify ~/.ssh/config file
Of course added address called "any" witch means to use any address
(like the are no option BindAddress defined)
So my config file now looks like:

VPN hardware?
I have a NetGear FV318 living in my DMZ, with one of its LAN-ports
living in my LOC zone. What rules are needed in shorewall to allow a
certain subnet to make connections to this device from the net zone?
Do I define it as a tunnel in shorewall/tunnels, or do I just allow some
selected traffic to the DMZ IP? I am not sure which of the docs are
right for me in this case?

directory mask = 2770
Hello everyone.
I am using Samba 2.0.7 on a RedHat 6.2 machine. I wanted to apply a
directory mask of 2770 to everything created in a share. The root
directory of this share already has these permissions. I want to have it
so that everything created in a certain directory has the permissions of
the group of the creator.
As it stands, I do have the directory mask = 2770 line in the smb.conf
