...ful if you could solve. Certain international characters does not work as usernames when trying to log in to an NT4 file server. My problem is that in Swedish versions of NT the "Administrator" username is translated and reads "Administrat?r". It seams that the "?" (Odiaresis) is not encoded properly. I use Red Hat 8.0. It doesn't seam to matter what LANG setting I use in my shell. I have tried both sv_SE that uses iso-8859-1 ecoding and sv_SE.utf8 that is the default Red Hat encoding in the Swedish locale.
