snow Error.
Hello,
I have a program that used to run well in October, it uses library snow.
Since then, one change has ocurred (snow library has been updated) and
another could have ocurred (I've unadvertently modified something).
Anyway, now when I make the call:
parallel.model.results <- clusterApply(cl,processors.struct,MCexe)
exactly as I used to do, where MCexe is my function and

Strange problem with Rails and Tomcat
Hi all,
I´m having a strange problem in my rails app hosted on Tomcat:
The ''div'' element which stores the validation errors of a model doesn´t
seem to be ''refreshed'' after each request,so I end up with the following
problem:
In the first request:''5 problems ocurred''
In the second request:''10 problems ocurred''

nested form? I suppose this should be possible, but I am experiencing
an error message that I can''t track down.
The error I get is the following :
TypeError in Store/orders#create

how to document stuff most users don't want to see
The functions metrop and temper in the mcmc package have a debug = FALSE
argument that when TRUE adds a lot of debugging information to the returned
list. This is absolutely necessary to test the functions, because one
generally knows nothing about the simulated distribution except what what
one learns from MCMC samples. Hence you must expose all details of the
simulation to have any hope of

'500 Internal Server' Error on SIP NOTIFY
Is anyone getting '500 Internal Server' errors back from their Polycom phones when Asterisk sends a SIP NOTIFY message to them?
I called Polycom tech support, who where utterly useless.
Of course Polycom won't officially support it anyway, as they only support Asterisk Business Edition. We're using 1.2.9, but it's been ocurring for quite some time. We have about 35 phones and

Could anyone explain why it ocurs?

Queues and timeouts
I've got several agents on a queue. However, they often forget to go
"not ready" or log off when they can't answer the phone.
I would like a person calling my queue to be on the queue for a max of 2
minutes, and I'm using the rrmemory strategy.
I put a timeout of 12 on the call to my agent in the [AgentQ] context
(they log on using Agentlogincallback). It all seems to

rjags in a Windows 7 64 bits machine
Hi.
I was trying to follow this rjags tutorial (example 1):
http://www.johnmyleswhite.com/notebook/2010/08/20/using-jags-in-r-with-the-rjags-package/comment-page-1/#comment-19468
But when I try to run the following line in R, R crushes and close.
jags <- jags.model('example1.bug', data = list('x' = x,'N' = N),
n.chains = 4, n.adapt = 100)
I'm using a Windows 64

Problem with workspace loading after languageR use
Hello R,
To analyze multi-level data, I started learning and using lmer. So far
so wonderful. I then found some useful functions in package languageR.
But then the following problem ocurred: Whenever I load and use the
languageR package, then save the workspace - or quit R with saving the
workspace - I am unable to reload that workspace in a later session.
That is, R doesn't start at all

Network with DHCP and Samba with LDAP backend
It's been a while since I have addressed this problem, but here is another attempt.
We have a samba 3.0 server with ldap backend in security = user level.
We logon to the samba domain and in that sense everything is running fine, but only when I disable DHCP.
If I try to logon with DHCP, the windows client tells me that:

I have a hook script, /etc/libvirt/hooks/network, that doesn't seem to

Help! channel_find_deadlocked: Avoided initial deadlock for ...
Hope someone can help.
I have a situation where asterisk is sending a SIP CANCEL message before the Dial() timeout has hit. It doesn't always do it.
Normally, we send an INVITE to the ITSP. They respond with a 100 Trying, then a 180 Ringing, or 183 Session Progress. It seems to be at this point that Asterisk starts the dial timer. Normally, when no more replies have been received by the dial

I'm having trouble with permissions and ACL's running samba43.

Some more win32-changenotify analysis
Hi all,
I decided to check the responsiveness of the pure Ruby vs C extension
versions of win32-changenotify. I setup this little file generator program:
a = []
10.times{ |n|
a << Thread.new{
File.open("File_#{n}", ''w''){ |fh| fh.puts "test #{n}" }
}
}
a.each{ |t| t.join }
The pure Ruby version did not do so well. In some cases it
