zpool kernel panics.
Hi Folks, I''ve got a 3.9 Tb zpool, and it is casing kernel panics on my Solaris 10 280r (SPARC) server. The message I get on panic is this: panic[cpu1]/thread=2a100a95cc0: zfs: freeing free segment (offset=423713792 size=1024) This seems to come about when the zpool is being used or being scrubbed - about twice a day at the moment. After the reboot, the scrub seems to have

Xen4CentOS: Unnecessary gpxe / ipxe obsoletes
I installed CentOS6 with the xen4centos set of packages; then I tried to install KVM (for performance comparison), I got the following error in YUM: --> Processing Dependency: /usr/share/gpxe/e1000-0x100e.rom for package: 2:qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.4.x86_64 Package gpxe-roms-qemu is obsoleted by ipxe-roms-qemu, but obsoleting package does not provide for requirements I manually downloaded the gpxe package and installed it with no problems, so there are no actual conflicts in the files. Thus, ipxe probably *shouldn't* obsolete gpxe -- there are no conflicts between the two, and ipx...

Upgrade to v2.0 conf file fails
Hi, I am trying to use the command: doveconf -n -c dovecot-1.conf > dovecot-2.conf to upgrade my dovecot.conf file, but it fails (see below). Judging from the message that vsz_limit is the new setting for login_process_size, I have retried using login_process_size=256 rather than login_process_size=64 (which was the initial value), but the error persists. Please advise. Thanks, Nick

4.3 to 4.4 and Yum and Upgrade vs. Update
...flag is present yum will include package obsoletes in its calculations - this makes it better for distro-version changes, for example: upgrading from somelinux 8.0 to somelinux 9." " yum list obsoletes [regexp1] [...] List the packages installed on the system that are obsoleted by packages in any yum repository listed in the config file." Could this be what's causing the conflicts with sqlite? And if update vs. upgrade doesn't make any difference (from my first question).. Has a 'clear' direction for painless updating emerged? [PATCH] Obsolete WebKit Calling Convention
Hi @ll, I would like to obsolete and completely remove the WebKit Calling Convention. The CC was originally added for FTL and there are no other users I am aware off. Since WebKit moved away from LLVM a while ago I don’t see the need to keep the dead code around anymore. Please let me know if anyone happens to use this calling convention or has any objection with removing it. Thanks Cheers,

Down-grading to an "obsoleted" package
...newer version of the same package, was already installed. "yum upgrade A" (when the package is available on a repository) fails in a similar manner. "yum localinstall A-1.0-1.x86_64.rpm" is a bit smarter - it exists with a message like "Cannot install package A. It is obsoleted by installed package B". "yum downgrade A" (via repository) says something like "No Match for available package: A-1.0-1.x86_64.rpm". "yum localdowngrade A-1.0-1.x86_64.rpm" would seem to have the highest probability of success based on the above, except that...

Errors starting Dovecot
Hi, I'm new to Dovecot. I'm trying to start Dovecot(2.0.9) but I'm getting an error. I think the error is because I'm doing a tutorial for an old version of Devcot(1.x.x). What I get is the following: [code] [root at mailserver dovecot]# service dovecot start Starting Dovecot Imap: doveconf: Warning: NOTE: You can get a new clean config file with: doveconf -n >
