...was my understanding that the C standard
specified that conversions from 'char **' to 'const char **'
should be allowed without warning.
If you're interested in pursuing this please try changing line
175 of src/share/utf8/iconvert.c from:
k = iconv(cd2, 0, 0, &ob, &obl);
to:
k = iconv(cd2, 0, 0, (const char**) &ob, &obl);
and seeing if there is a warning with the replacement.
Cheers,
Erik

RC3: oggenc & iconv
...to UTF-8;
- dump core; or
- catch an assert();
depending on the locale settings. (On FreeBSD, with Chuguev iconv.)
I think I'm getting a handle on the assert(). It's this one:
assertion "(!k && !ibl) || (k == (size_t)(-1) && errno == E2BIG && ibl &&
obl < 6) || (k == (size_t)(-1) && (errno == EILSEQ || errno == EINVAL) &&

In my test case, we have a plain ASCII string with a KOI8-R locale
charset and this:
Before the first iconv() call:
* ibl = 9
* obl = utflen = 1

OT clamav-milter
I OT'd this since it is supplied by dag and not centos but running on
centos 3.5
# service clamav-milter start
Starting Clamav Milter Daemon: clamav-milter: --timeout must not be
given if --external is not given
I updated last week and didn't have any problems. I did restart the
system today and for some reason cannot get clamav-milter to start

Any hints - afaik - nothing changed...

rotatestrategy = none not working
Hello,
We have an Asterisk 11.3 server where we want log rotation handled purely
by Linux's logrotate, and not by Asterisk. To this end we've configured the
[general] action of /etc/asterisk/logger.conf with:
rotatestrategy = none
However, an "asterisk -rx 'logger reload'" still rotates the log files.
Does anyone know why?
Thank you in advance,

Clamav .90x that worked for me
...-e clamav ...etc for all clamav files), I then installed
ver 9.0 and the fix for me was to edit /etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter in 2
places:
completely remove the line: dont-log-clean
don't just comment it out...in the flags, it has to be removed
and also
on the socket line ...should start by -obl...edit it to -ol
I think also in /etc/crond.conf you should also edit the commented line:
#LogClean to LogClean yes
I didn't edit /etc/crond.conf on this machine but am fixing to right
now...although it works w/out it
thx

Testing needed
Hi all,
I think we're getting close to the first FLAC release in over 4 years.
I have tested whats currently in Git on x86, x86_64 and PowerPC Linux
and would appreciate reports of successful compiles (and even more
importantly any failures) on OSX, Windows and elsewhere.
Cheers,
Erik

Extracting bins and frequencies from frequency table
Dear R users,
I would like to great a frequency table from raw data and then access
the classes/bins and
their respective frequencies separately. Here the code to create the
frequency tables:
x1 <- c(1,5,1,1,2,2,3,4,5,3,2,3,6,4,3,8)
t1 <- table(x1)
print(t1[1])
Its easy to plot this, but how do I actually access the frequencies
alone and the bins alone?
Basically I am looking to get:

Tuýrkish Character Set
Hello,
I am new to this list. I have (and all Trukish users of Samba) trouble with
Turkish charactes (iso8859-9)with Samba. I saw some character definition tables
in charcnv.o (in sources). I couldn't understand the logic. A part of the table
for iso8859-2 is
