On the Use of the nnet Library

The data frame consists of 20 observations with four variables: Sex, Age, Height and Weight. Sex is treated as a factor, Age and Weight are variables normalized to unity, as usual. I wanted to construct a neural network, and so

install.packages, bundles, pmatch, and Rprofile...
Hi, Somebody asked me to make sure that all the machines running the in our lab (XP and Linux, both running 2.0) have R installed and that A) All the packages are installed and B) kept up-to-date. Obediently, I began to modify a shared Rprofile so that once a week it checks for new packages and updates to the current version of the installed packages on CRAN. Sounds simple enough. Plus some

Adding Foreman to an existing Puppet master
Greetings: Sorry for cross-posting this question, but I haven''t gotten any love over on the Google Forum for Foreman users<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/foreman-users> (their forum isn''t as active as this one). I only recently learned about The Foreman and I''d like to deploy it on a 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 LTS workstation to provision/manage a bunch of

package: ignores "source"; "provider" doesn''t work as advertised?
Hi I¹m not sure if I¹m misunderstanding, however, when I try the following: class thttpd { package { thttpd: version => "2.25b-4.2", source => "http://dag.wieers.com/packages/thttpd/thttpd-2.25b-4.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm" } [snip other code] } On fedora core 5, the ³source² is ignored: yum is used to pull the package from the upstream repos listed in

Question about Icecast
Please help... I subscribe to a streaming audio (internet radio) service called "Coast to Coast AM". Thier server will not allow it's stream to be downloaded and saved for later listening. Will IceCast perform such a function? If so, how do I go about it? Thanks for your help... Ray Kinman raykinman1@yahoo.com <p>Your Obedient Servant,<vbr><vbr>Ray

Strange winbindd situation
I set up winbindd last week on my Linux workstation. So far it's been working just fine and I've been enjoying the benefits of being able to connect to it with my NT user account. However, last week I noticed that there were two or three new NT users in my '/home/winnt/DOMAIN' directory that I *HADN'T* logged into this system with. I chalked it up to a potential virus or

On retiring some terminology
Hello fellow NUTs :) Some time ago an issue https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/840 was raised, and with current work underway to publish a standard on NUT protocol it became more urgent - to retire the master/slave terminology from NUT configuration and documentation. I looked around for suitable synonyms, and for our primary use-case with upsmon roles - where it either manages an
