Removal of CodeBreakers package
I installed Codebreakers Redhat pakage to my eDesktop 2.4. I downloaded necessary files for depedency problems. I had tried Caldera's package without success. Being a newbie I decided to try CodeBreakers. When running winecheck it came up worse than the previous package. I tried to uninstall package and my system did not see it as installed. I deleted Wine.d from my /opt directory

Problem excluding directories on windows
..."Program Files" and "System Volume Information". I tried including them in the exclude-file, to no avail. I suspect the problem may be the spaces in the directory names, but I could find no reference to that. I have attached the file. Detecting silence
Completely new topic, and perhaps more important than it might appear just at a casual glance, if one hasn't been thinking about -- and really wanting to write -- some possible future (istic?) applications (as i have . . . and do). What i would like to have, which would _very_ much simplify what's involved in writing the code for certain things i have in mind, is (let me just say this and

SIP native bridge problem
I'm having a problem, I'm not sure if it has todo with the fact that my phone is behind a NAT or not, but here it is.. My problem is when I call out, my asterisk system routes the call to my SIP provider, whoever, as soon as the other party answers, asterisk tries to make a native bridge for the call, and then the call drops instantly. Samba Questions
Hello, I have couple questions regarding Samba. 1. In the smb.conf, what does "security = DOMAIN" mean? 2. I would like to samba into the firewall so that people can't connect through TCP/IP. What port (tcp or udp) does samba use? 3. How can I prompt user for entering login name instead of using Win95 login name for Win95 users? That's all for now. Thanks for your help.

wxRuby build problems
I''ve just tried to build wxRuby on a debian/unstable (i386) platform. I went to rubyforge.org and downloaded wxruby-0.5-src.tar.gz. <http://rubyforge.org/frs/download.php/1254/wxruby-0.5-src.tar.gz> I have ruby 1.8.2 installed on my system. I needed to install the debian package ruby1.8-dev in order to get mkmf.rb. That solved my first problem. So then i ran "ruby
