Problems with HTB (ceil being overpassed)
...ptables FORWARD chain:
iptables -N $server_ip-in
iptables -N $server_ip-out
iptables -A $server_ip-in -j RETURN
iptables -A $server_ip-out -j RETURN
iptables -A FORWARD -s $server_ip -j $server_ip-out
iptables -A FORWARD -d $server_ip -j $server_ip-in
and to make the actual measurement:
iptables -nvxL $server_ip-in
iptables -nvxL $server_ip-out
Resuming, how can i effectively test if and how well htb it''s doing the
job ?

iptables traversing read
Hi
Is there a program which allow me to see how "my" traffic goes through my
iptables rules? Which accept it, which deny?
Right now my router has a little bit of traffic and its hard to see only
mine traffic.

I'm seeing the same problem here.
We're grabbing byte counts from around 2000 rules with iptables -nvxL from a
minutely cron job and occasionally the counts come back as zero or a few
packets worth of bytes and then return to their previous values the next
minute. Based on the timing, it's quite likely that this is happening at
times when another iptables or iptables-restore (--noflush) process i...

bandwidth management
Hi all,
I have a firewall central which a control the
download/upload bandwidth with cbq of 9 differents
networks. Now i need some help from you. I would like
to use mrtg+snmp to reports these bandwidth to show per
ip, how? any idea? tips?

dovecot-1.0-test8 / nfs / maildir / flags issues

While (bluntly) testing the prerelease version of dovecot on our
mailfarm (just for the webmail imap) we noticed some small problems:
- While our OLD dovecot/imap drove the load to a maximum of 1 over a
day after running, the new dovecot/imap pushes it easily to 20. This is
