Having the same behaviour with 2.2.1 and 2.2.1 patched, even if R Cmdr is not loaded. It does not appear to be strictly a data import problem. For me the issue appears when trying to open any scripts, although not always. I recently updated my Ubunto from 11.04 to 11.10 and I can no longer play windows games via wine.
