icecast and proxy

last! ... of the day :-)
So:
I run nvRadio on port 8000, that is a problem for all people that are at
work, behind firewall or protected environment.
So, I thought that a proxy can be the solution for streaming on port 80.
I enabled the apache2 proxy and, yes, if I type:
www.nvapple.it/stream
the stream is ok also now that I am on my office, on port80!
The problem is that if I look at the IP of people that are connected,
visiting icecast's admin panel, I see always the ip of my machine, and
it is unfortunately right, because they are listening through apache2
proxy....

how to have fade in/out?
...er for my streaming. do you know how can I
obtain an automatic fade of a song when it ends with a silence? if the
mp3 finish with 3 4 seconds of silence, is it possible to remove it
automatically?
deefuzzer is not able to do it, can icecast2 make this? some ideas?

a simple modification to html output of icecast
...ems not to work.
Since I'm blind, I use sometime a special braille computer in order to
access internet.
The browser is really poor and not compatible with flash, html5, so it
is quite old.
Anyway:
From the moment I upgrade to icecast 2.4.1, instead of showing
correctly the status page:
www.nvapple.it:8000
it shows me the source of the page.
This is really annoying!
To solve the problem I must modify the line in which there is:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
in:
<html>
A simple and stupid modification, as you can see, but for unexplained
reasons, it is...

The answer is:
DO NOT UNLESS YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS!
If you have to ask yourself "what are the implications?", you don't.
You can easily kill your web server and other things can break too.
Icecast explicitly does NOT support being reverse proxied!

tunein Radio on Ios and Icecast: metadata disappeared
Hello,
I'd like to know if this is a problem of Icecast, of me or of tunein.
I'm thinking it is a tunein problem, anyway, from 2 3 months, if I type
the address of my streaming:
www.nvapple.it:8000/stream
it works, but no metadata are showed.
I have latest tunein pro version on Ios8.
Have you the same problems with your icecast station?
I don't think it depends of Liquidsoap or Icecast, because metadata are
present in other player, like Vlc, or in the icecast web administration...
