Unable to disable beeper on Powercom Imperial IMP-525AP
Hi ALL,
Powercom Imperial IMP-525AP seems to be fully compatible with NUT.
Unfortunately, I can not disable beeper.
upscmd -u {NUT_USER} -p {NUT_PASSWORD} powercom beeper.toggle
returns *OK*, however, ups.beeper.status=enabled
Thank you,
Sergey

I think you need to re-run ./configure in the source tree with the driver, using the arguments above. Then 'cd drivers; make clean; make riello_ser' and install the new copy of the driver.

NUT + devd + FreeBSD
...bably the best way would be to make a nutmon user that is a member
of the uucp and operator group.
I did that with..
echo '*LOCKED*' | pw useradd nutmon -u 95 -c 'NUT monitor user' -d /var/empty -g operator -G dialer -s /usr/sbin/nologin -H 0
then..
cd /usr/ports/sysutils/nut
make NUT_USER=nutmon NUT_GROUP=operator
And re-run the sed above but with operator instead of uucp.
