USB Cordless
Does anyone know if X-Ten or SJPhone support multiple cordless handsets for multiple lines? I have an office with multiple roaming users(nurses) that are in and out. I'd like to provide them telephones, and my idea is to have a PC sitting in a corner somewhere running a softphone client. When a nurse comes in she just picks up any available handset(anywhere from 2-5 per office) and starts calling. Each handset would be labeled with...

Change Default Voicemail Message
Hello List, I have a client (a nursing home) that we are looking at installing a trixbox for. One of the features that they would really like is a customized, standard voicemail recording for each of the residents rooms. We are looking for something along the lines of a voicemail recording like this: "Welcome to (nursing home). You have reached room 5. Please leave a message after the

ez_where plugin updated features.
Friends- I wanted to let people know that there is a new experimental release of this plugin. I would love feedback on syntax and features. There is now a full test suite with fixtures that covers all the available syntax. Look at the test suite for more syntax possibilities. There have been many additions since my last release. Fabien Atelier has been working on this with me and has

OT: Suggestions for database for physicians patient records?
...xible. If there are "front ends" that will make it easier for his secretaries to input patient records to the database and access it, that will be a "plus". It would also be a plus, but, it's not mandatory, if they can do this in Spanish. It's a small office (2 surgeons, nurses and secretaries) so I suspect there might be 4 to 6 workstations connected to the database server, maximum. I would like to help him get the best possible solution. Something with a large user base, excellent documentation and an active ML, like CentOS, is the goal. Thanks much! Lanny

Problem with Windows not finding methods
...ob-tube for myself as follows: Windows XP SP2 lighty ruby 1.8.x rails 1.1 scgi I have everything working fairly well, but with one minor exception: the actions that I have defined as follows are not found. class MytestController < ApplicationController def index render_text "Hello Nurse!" end def dilbert render_text "Dilbert rocks!" end end If I browse to 127.0.0.1 I get the default page, but if I then go to 127.0.0.1/mytest/index or ../mytest/dilbert, then I get the following rather exciting error: Unknown action No action responded to dilbert It...

analysing mixed effects/poisson/correlated data
I am attempting to model data with the following variables: timepoint - n=48, monthly over 4 years hospital - n=3 opsn1 - no of outcomes total.patients skillmixpc - skill mix percentage nurse.hours.per.day Aims To determine if skillmix affects rate (i.e. no.of.outcomes/total.patients). To determine if nurse.hours.per.day affects rate. To determine if rates vary between hospitals. There is first order autoregression in the data. I have attempted to use the lmer function (and lmer...

Adjusting for heaping in data
Hi R users. I am new to the community and have got myself into a little problem. I have a dataset of birth weights recorded by nurses at a delivery clinic in an developing country. The weights are entered in KiloGrams with one decimal. However there is substantial heaping at each 500g when looking at the sample in a histogram. Do anyone of you know a easy way to adjust for this and if it exists an R package to implement the met...

test question, variance
Can someone get me going in the right direction with this test question? We have went as far as t.test in our class, but not to power or anova yet. I have pasted the question and a summary of the dataset "gpa". 5. Given that all the GPA data in this dataset is comprised of means, would you expect the underlying dataset of students? individual GPA to be more variable or less variable

Possible to add domain user accounts to a local linux group on samba-3 domain member server?
Hello, I've set up a Samba 3.0.2a domain member server on an existing Windows NT4 domain utilizing Winbind to resolve user authentication to my server. I would like to create local groups on my Samba server containing users from the NT domain to control access to shares on the Samba server.
