...the client like the WINDOWS server do ? I'm not sure if you know what I mean, so here is a little illustration: ----------------------------- | NTSERVER | | \\ntserver\printer1 | | \\ntserver\printer2 | | \\ntserver\printer3 | | SAMBASERVER | | NTWORKSTATION | | \\ntworkstation\printer | ---------------------------- The SAMBA server only shows the printable shares after clicking on it which unfortunately is very complicated for some people (most of my users)... Is there any chance to get this fixed ? Thanks for your support and a grea...

Samba domain users VS "rogue" NT servers.
Hi All, We're having some problems using Samba and supposedly "standalone" rogue NT servers on one of our network domains. When an authenticated samba-served NT domain user on a client machine tries to access a share on a non BDC/PDC NT server that it part of the same samba domain, the standalone NT server sends it a message saying "Your logon time at NTDOMAIN has

Performance question
I now have Dovecot in production and things are apparently trouble-free. The one known problem is that initial client inbox load can take 30 seconds - 2 minutes. For instance: 'I got fed up waiting and went and got coffee'...this with a 3MB mbox inbox...and my mail server is a substantial machine consuming 25% CPU just for this person's IMAP session. I realize that a certain

...test page, it was OK. Then I did the same thing for HP2100 and it worked. Then I tried again with the HP2000c (I downloaded the driver from the HP site, to be sure it was not corrupted) and again I had "not able to write the HPRlpm.dll to c:\winnt\system32", which is my local disk on my NTworkstation(!!!). I skip this file then the *dll, *ico etc. are copied on the samba server but it ended saying "not able to change driver setting". I think I will never be able to install this printer.
