Pre-compiled OS X binaries?
...is list too and he might be able to provide an OS X build of FLAC 1.3.0.
However, I can understand the Xiph policy of only supplying officially blessed versions compiled by themselves. I guess we'll have to wait for 1.3.1...

Once I learn the basics then I will benefit from reading other members questions...but for now it is more confusing for me than helpful.
I appreciate any guidance...

file couldn't play after Speex encode and decode
Dear sir,
I've a problem that the .wav file couldn't play after calling "sampleenc
male.wav|sampledec male_speex_15.wav".I found that the new file
male_speex_15.wav is smaller than the original file in size.I implemented
the test on Linux system. The original file male.wav is 96044 bytes, while the
new file male_speex_15.wav is 96000 bytes.I'm eager to know the reason.Thankyou!

Has anyone found a slick way of doing this? Or at least any way of improving the situation.

I can't work out why the jobs are being sent to the samba server on

If it helps, here are a couple of screenshots of what is happening :

oggdropXPd quality selection problems
To those who have reported having a problem selecting real number quality
settings, could you kindly test the new compile you can d/l from:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jfe1205/testXPd.ZIP and report whether this
resolves the problem.
No major changes, but I regularised a number of type casting discrepancies
that could have been causing a problem.

Can you have multiple before filters?
Hi,
Is it possible to specify multiple before filters in a controller...
here''s the thing: only one set of filters is to use the :except option.
Something like:
before_filter :check_for_session_cookie
before_filter :validate_user :except =>[''login'']
which I use to a) check if the user has returned to the site and has a
saved cookie holding login details b) check

writing text on graphics' window
Hi,
Does anyone know of a method for writing text to the graphics window,
where there is *no* plot? Basically, I have developed a 'significance
test' and I would like the output on the graphics window to say
something about the input parameters and the stats of the significance test.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Sam.

At the moment when I try to change or set a password with smbpasswd, I get the message "failed to bind to server with dn = etc: Invalid credentials".
So can someone clarify any of these points for me.
