NTLMSSP Sign/Seal - using NTLM1
So, curiously, it *appears* the following may have sped up the mount:

Manually modified the smb.conf file, where the following changes were
made: Added:
-
client NTLMv2 auth = yes
-
client min protocol = SMB2_02
-
From a Linux client, performed a cifs mount, forcing the following
parameters (ntlmssp,vers=3.0)

Error / Unable to allocate enough memory
...gh 1.1.3. I have an application that worked fine using wine 0.9.45 until I was forced to do a reinstall due to a bad hard drive. Now I always get Error / Unable to allocate enough memory when I run the application. Here is the command I am running:
MDCrack-sse.exe --charset=tesTES --algorithm=NTLM1 --minsize=8 --maxsize=8 D280553F0103F2E643406517296E7582
The password is TestTest for those that care.
Why do I always get unable to allocate enough memory? I am using slackware 12.0.
Thanks,

What version of Samba are you using ?
It looks like it using NTLM1 , but the Windows domain probably isn't,
try adding these lines to your smb.conf:
client min protocol = SMB2_02
server min protocol = SMB2_02

Windows 95, encrypted passwords, and secure channel communications
First of all, let me say "I know it's been fixed in Samba 3." That's
for those of you who think I'm talking about the requiresignorseal
registry hack in Windows XP. I'm not.
I ran into an issue when using Windows 95 clients with a Windows 2003
server. (Why not Samba? The customer needs terminal services for some
windows-only programs.) Because Windows 2003, by policy,

ntlm_auth to AD with only ntlmv2 enabled failing
Hello,
We have samba 3.0.23 installed. We are using free radius to take
authentication requests from a nortel vpn server and using ntlm_auth
trying to authenticate users against AD.
This setup works fine when on the AD side ntlmv1 and ntlmv2 are enabled.
(IE. Users can authenticate).
However, when only ntlmv2 is enabled users are unable to authenticate.
I have searched various places and while
