Help!!! Windows XP Joining Samba 2.2.2 Domain
Okay, I'm at the end of my amazing internet research skills, and now I'm
having to offer this problem up to the mailing lists.
In a fit of stupidity I've just upgraded my machine from 98 to XP
(purely for research ;), and now I need to add it to the domain.

Q about net groupmap examples on samba.org
...Security - Local Groups specifying what permissions that domain account user has on the local Win2K box while they are logged in.
So I created some groups in /etc/group as follows:

domusers:x:2001:
domguest:x:2002:
ntadmins:x:2010:pianoman
ntpwrusr:x:2011:
ntusers:x:2012:
ntguests:x:2013:
Then I built my own initGrps.sh as follows:
#!/bin/bash

# initGrps.sh

# Map Windows Domain Groups to UNIX groups
net groupmap modify ntgroup="Domain Admins" unixgroup=domadmin
net groupmap modify ntgroup="Domain Users" unixgroup=domusers

problem with sef extracting exe-files on samba-drivelf extracting exe-files on samba-drive
Hello,

We have about 600 concurrent clients.
We are using samba version 1.9.17p4 en have a problem with
self extracting exe-files on a samba-mounted disk from NT 4.0.
( This problem also exists with earlier versions of samba e.g. 1.9.16p11 )

Browsing problem with Samba 2.2.2 PDC
Hi,
We have been using Samba 2.0.7 for a couple of years on Solaris 7. I am
trying to move to a Samba 2.2.2 NT domain, with a Samba PDC offering
WINS. I have downloaded the Solaris 7 package for 2.2.2 and installed
it on a test machine as a domain master for domain "TEST" and "wins
support = yes", but I am stumped almost immediately with a browsing
problem. My new server

connect via my win95 machine, it doesn't find my linux box on the network.
when I click on entire network, It
