If there's an ntfsprogs command that does this (ntfsinfo --mft maybe?) then it's really easy to extract the output from that command. You could hack it together using `debug sh', search this page: http://libguestfs.org/guestfs-faq.1.html ... but if you wanted to do it "properly" then you could add an API modelled on one of the `Fil...

[PATCH 0/4] Add various ntfs* tools and unify label setting.
This miscellaneous patch adds bindings for: - ntfsfix - ntfsclone - ntfslabel and unifies filesystem label setting through a single API 'set-label' which replaces 'set-e2label' and is also able to set labels on NTFS using the ntfslabel program. 'ntfsfix' has been added as a possible way to fix RHBZ#797760. However I have not found a way to fully fix this bug. See

QCOW2 goes corrupted when using GPLPV drivers
QCOW2 disk image gets corrupted when you try to install Service Pack 1 AFTER installing GPLPV drivers. This means, without the pv drivers, everything works fine. I tested both RAW and QCOW2 without GPLPV drivers and the installation has completed without any error, and the image (at least qcow2) has no errors too. How to reproduce: - Install Windows 7 32-bit guest - Check the image with

Question: resize: non-sparse copying of extended partition
Hello everyone! I faced an issue using virt-resize. I have an image with extended -> logical -> pv -> lv -> ext4 (although I think LVM does not matter). And image is 65G virtual size and 1G actualSize. When I call virt-resize to 60G, it blindly copies the extended partition content, but does it non-sparse (resize.ml:1231), irrespective to --no-sparse option. So the destination image
