NT 5 plain password hack?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a way to enable plain text passwords in NT 5.0? I've checked www.ntfaq.com and several different NT sites. Much thanks in advance for any help. Mickey

samba 2.2.8a W2K policies
Hi, I run a SuSE 8.2 Box with samba 2.2.8a as PDC and W2K Clients SP4.All works fine (thanks list users for the last support - all works great)!!! I would like create policies in the netlogon share on the PDC for our EDV Room. Works this with W2K Clients ? I find only informations about NT4.0 policies and samba 2.2.8a. And is there a howto with step by step :) examples ??? Thanks a lot !

proxy arp & gratuitous ARP reply

Now, when I start a M$-Windoze machine it complain about "...duplicated IP address...". browser problem
The browsing capability in Network Neighborhood disppears periodically. Usually, double-clicking on Network Neighborhood gives us a list of all the NT and Unix/samba boxes on the network segment (i.e. in the Workgroup). When browsing disppears, all we see is *Entire Network*, which has nothing in it. We run a unix/NT network with 6 unix servers and about 80 NT clients. We are running NT
