NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_GROUP
I have an issue where a user cannot connect to a specific samba group. I've tried connecting directly from Windows, and via smbclient. via smbclient I get smbclient '\\SERVER NAME\Skin_FTP' -U username Password: Domain=[EP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.2.5] tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_GROUP Yet an apparently mostly identical share seems to work fine smbclient '\\SERVER NAME\Queen_FTP' -U username Password: Domain=[EP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.2.5] smb: \> The two shares seem pretty much the same [Queen_FTP] valid users = @royal writeable = yes...

How to list members of a workgroup
Hi I look for a way to generate a text file, holding the workgroup/user relation - which users belongs to a workgroup. Can I use a samba tool to list all members of any known group? Or maybe run a domain ctlr, and lookup the information in files on the server? I must get this info from a M$ lan with arround 20.000 workstations and some hudreds servers. Brgds Jorgen

The group name could not be found
Hey guys, It's me again. Today I moved our NAS from our old 2000 domain to a new domain presided over by two Samba 4.7.2 domain controllers. After the move I cant access the NAS at all from my Windows 7 test pc. I keep getting an error that "The group name could not be found" I am at the end of my troubleshooting skills. I also moved the NAS' samba from sernet-samba 4.1 to

NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_GROUP when attempting to connect
Hi, I'm attempting to get my server set up to share out files using Active Directory authentication. I also have winbind set up for shell logins to the server. That part works fine, but when I attempt to connect to a samba share with smbclient, I get rejected with "session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE". I did some searching and found others with similar issues, and I

SV: Error with usrmgr and groups.
It's exactly the same. Except that I use tdbsam instead of ldap and the error message therefore also is different in the log file. But the example and result is the same. Do you have any idea of workaround or fix?
